I loved you though I never met you,

you were wanted, you were perfect.

Life wasn’t perfect, so I chose a better life for you.

One filled with joy, streets of gold,

and you will never want for anything,

Not even my love,

for you live in the very presence of love daily.

I placed you in the arms of someone that loves you greater.

There isn’t a day

that goes by that some thought of you doesn’t race across my

mind. But, I know that you are safe.

The choices were hard to make, but they are done.

I may even doubt that they were a

mistake, but I will never doubt that you are safe,

happy and loved.
