A long journey

Becomes a turning point to look at the bigger picture

A long journey

Away from home,

Beyond the horizon,

Chasing the life of my dreams,

Driven by my heart's desire,

Embarking the bustling streets of Manhattan,

Fortunate I am to discover a world outside of my town

****

Gauging every footstep of my failure,

Harboring every stream of experience,

I inquire about the very wholeness of purpose,

Juggling between the creeks of dreams and reality,

Kayaking through the gaps from variance,

Lighted is the thought to gaze, to step back, to float

*****

Maneuvering the dense layers of algae,

Nothing beneath seems visible, yet

Over the horizon, I see my home, my roots,

Promising a presence in the silence,

Quenched by the dense dark mosses draping the trees

******

Reverberating in my ears is my name,

Swearing to be loud and clear,

To trust my instincts over my doubts, yet

Unquenchable, the life craving within

*******

Venturing out on a long, lonely journey away from home,

Wild waves wipe my foot on listening to the lives of people,

Xenial and Xenacious approach

Yielding stories that compel to surrender,

Zeroed are my problems in front of their lives.
