Your gentle hands held me

When I needed peace

Your tender hands held me

When I needed release

Your loving hands held me

When I wanted to let go

My sweet mother’s hands held me

Through the darkness of my soul

You taught me the meaning

Of love without strings

You taught me the beauty

When a happy heart sings

Because you loved me

I understand what it means

You loved me so completely

I can still feel it inside

And you’re always here with me

Even after you died

We've got a direct line to heaven

So that any time any day

There is a blessed connection

Where our hearts forever will stay
