Introduction
While going through Vocal's Poetry tags for some reason. Pantoum caught my eye. I thought I would investigate it and the fourth result is below.
Since I passed 1900 in my Vocal stories, each of the next 106 stories may coincide with years of significance. The Korean War was between 1950 and 1953 so they are significant, and I am using them to share two more pro-peace messages in Pantoum form.
My main experience of the Korean War is the TV program and film "M*A*S*H" which if you have never seen get on it now.
The music is the opening credits to "M*A*S*H" an instrumental version of "Suicide Is Painless" one of the worst-titled songs ever, but the film and program are not to be missed.
There are links at the end if you would like to help those in need.

I've heard of M.A.S.H but never watched it. Your poem was so profound and I loved it!
M.A.S.H. was a great show & sufficiently evocative that as I was scrolling down to your writing I thought that picture looked like it was from the show before I got to the credit. "Suicide Is Painless" is a song I never understood, not having seen the movie where it's sung in its entirety both for the opening credits & in the faux suicide Last Supper scene, until my junior year of college when a couple of guys sang it together for a dorm-wide talent show. It's been a part of me ever since. The title was the one requirement for the song, to be sung during that one scene, & the idea was that it was supposed to be the stupidest song ever written. The composer struggled with it, the director took a stab at it, then turned it over to his fourteen-year-old son who wrote it supposedly in five minutes. It ended up being so good & effective it was used for the opening credits over the music composer's objections & eventual great relief. The fourteen-year-old supposedly made over $1 million for the co-writing credit. His father received $70,000 for directing the film. In other news, the forward figure in the picture for the Korean War Memorial looks like Martin Sheen getting ready to hunt down Marlon Brando in "Apocalypse Now". Yeah, I liked your poem, Mike. Liked it a lot.
Amazing poetry, well done!
Excellent poem, MASH is such a legendary show. You did a very good job with this.
