Out-Door Activities For Dogs

Are you tired of sitting inside all day? Need some ideas for you and your dog? Here are 7 outdoor activities for dogs, these ideas are sure to eliminate any boredom and create a lasting bond between you and your pet.

Picnic

My personal favorite outdoor activity for dogs is a picnic. Go on a long walk before the picnic to get all the energy out of your precious pet. That way when you set up your picnic blanket and food your dog will be relaxed and calm. Pack lots of snacks for both you and your pet, I like to make homemade dog treats for my puppy and cookies for me. A picnic is also a great way to involve family and friends. No matter how you do it though, a picnic will always be fun.

BBQ

A Barbeque with all your friends (especially your dog friends) is a great way to get together and catch up throughout the summer. Load up on steak and burgers and bond with your puppy while playing frisbee and other super fun games. Finish your BBQ off with marshmallows and songs around the fire. This is such a creative way to hang out with your puppy!

Dog Park

One of the most common outdoor activities for dogs is a dog park. This idea is popular for a reason, dogs love the opportunity to hang out with other dogs and you will get to hang out with other dog owners.

Go Swimming

There are lots of options when it comes to swimming, you can take them to a lake, public swimming pool, the beach, or simply set up a pool in your backyard. No matter what you do or where you go you are both sure to have a great time. Swimming is the best way to cool off during hot summers and hang out with your best friend.

Set Up An Obstacle Course

An obstacle course is a fantastic way for energetic puppies to burn off their energy and keep their minds engaged. You don’t need a pre-made course to get started. Setting up your own obstacle course at home is easy and affordable, making it a perfect activity for both you and your pup.

Camping

Camping is very popular and since you are probably going to go anyway why not bring your dog? There are so many things you and your dog can do while camping, you can swim, hike, play frisbee, and eat delicious food. What a perfect outdoor activity for a dog!

Farmers Market

A farmers market is yet another great way to socialize, for both you and your dog. As lots of farmers market goers bring their precious pets and you should too! A perfect chance to get some shopping done and make your pets day. Just be sure to prepare your dog for the farmers market, make sure they are ready for the number of people that might be there, and teach them to stop and stay.

Conclusion

Now that you have learned about many different outdoor activities for dogs, go ahead and try them out. If you like them let me know! Thanks for reading.
