Essential Oils Are Fantastic!

How essential oils have helped my family and I.

Hi there. Today I wanted to share with you the success that I have personally had using essential oils. But first some of you may ask what is an essential oil? Basically in a nutshell they are the aromatic compounds that for an example make a rose smell like a rose. They truly are great for enhancing one's health. When I first started looking into essential oils I was dealing with a pretty tough bout of depression. My husband is bipolar so he was constantly swinging between manic and depressant. He was being treated and nothing was working. Then in August of 2016 I started using essential oils. I was still pretty new at this but I started studying what would benefit us and how. Fast forward to November when I met the family that would sign me on with doTerra. She is a holistic doctor and she has a beautiful family.

When she finally got me to sign on in January, I was sure I wanted to join doTerra. They have high quality oil and they put a lot of effort to ensure that they get their products sourced from places that would help the little guy. For example, their Frankincense oil. It is the best oil by far. If you can't afford to get a bunch of oils, this one is my all time favorite and I will talk more on that in a minute. But for their Frankincense oil they have ongoing source agreements with growers in Somalia. But how do they get the oil? That tree hangs out along slopes and ravines. They have to climb the tree hanging off that slope then they cut the tree to harvest the resin. But it doesn't stop there. After they cut it they have to wait until the resin hardens to gather it. This one was the one that astounded me the most.

But why is frankincense my favorite. Basically it is a powerhouse. It can help with depression, it can help with anxiety, basically it is a mood lifter. It can also help the skin to look and feel rejuvenated. It also supports healthy cellular function. You can mix it in your moisturizer and it will help to rehydrate those chapped wintery hands.

Now back to us, how have the oils helped my family and I? As I said my husband is severely bipolar, and for any of you reading this article, I wish you the best and I understand your struggle. My husband uses on a daily basis the following oils:
  • Frankincense
  • Copaiba
  • Roman Chamomile
  • Lavender
  • Bergamot
Along with this he also uses a couple of vitamin supplements. He uses 5-HTP and Iodine. Believe it or not the combined price of all these oils and vitamins is still cheaper by a long shot than some of the psychiatric medicine he was prescribed. One thing I have noticed though with bipolar is you are not dealing with the same trouble everyday. So to combat this as his symptoms change so does his dose of oils. When he is having a fairly normal day he uses 3 drops of each oil, for a moderate day he uses 4 drops of each oil and when he is feeling out of control he uses 6 drops of each oil. He puts this into veggie capsules. With this regimen he has done so well that his psychiatrist has dropped him down to one visit a year to keep an eye on his progress and his therapist only sees him now once every 3-4 months. A large change from once every 6 weeks. He still has his good days and bad days but he has done the best on this regimen than he has on any regular pharmaceutical drug. At this point you are probably wondering how it has helped me. Well I no longer am dealing with depression and I enjoy talking with people about the benefit of essential oils. I hope this post can help you guys as well. If you would like to know more about doTerra essential oils let me know. Good health to all!
