WATER

Water is the most essential thing in our daily life. It is the universal solvent. It is more than a miracle and its role is incredible. It is available everywhere and affordable. With the combination of only two substances (i.e...Two molecules of hydrogen and one molecule of oxygen) it plays a greater role. By drinking plenty of water, one can keep their body healthy and hydrated.


COMPOSITION OF WATER IN OUR BODY
Human body requires nearly 4 litres of water per day for the proper functioning of the body parts, organs, cells and tissues.
About 45-75% of our body fluids are composed of water. It's composition varies depending upon the individual's age, sex and body weight.

WATER METABOLISM
Various metabolism performed in our body completely depends upon water.

  1. Water is required for the secretion of saliva. Due to its hydrolysing property it helps in the breakdown of carbohydrate, proteins, lipids, vitamins and minerals. It also helps in the transportation of nutrients and minerals.
  2. 80- 90% of Blood plasma is composed of water. It helps in increasing the efficiency of RBC to get oxygen from the lungs. Water increases the blood circulation.
  3. Water is required for the cerebrospinal fluid around the brain. It helps to prevent the brain from various shocks.
  4. 98-99% of vitreous humour in eyes are made of water which dissolves the foreign substances entering from the environment.
  5. Water is required for the pericardial fluid around the heart. This fluid helps to prevent the friction between two muscles while beating.
  6. Water is required for the secretion of digestive juices and enzymes like amylase, pepsin, trypsin, lipase, etc.....in our digestive system.
  7. Water is required for the endocrine gland which helps to balance the hormone secretion.
  8. It helps in the growth and development of cells and tissues. It also repairs the damaged cells.
  9. It helps in the formation of synovial fluids in joints which gives smooth movement between joints.
  10. Water helps in the excretion of toxic wastes from the body through the urinary tract and also maintains the kidney.
  11. Soft skin texture and muscle structure are maintained by the presence of enough moisture.
  12. Perspiration: The leftover salts after the breakdown of protein (ammonia and urea) are removed through skin pores with the help of water.

    DRINKING PLENTY OF WATER
    Improves the cell growth.
    Regulation of body temperature.
    Reduces stress, anxiety and depression.
    Improves gut health.
    Remove toxic wastes.
    Regulation of hormones.
    Water act as a lubricant in saliva which helps in easy swallowing of food.
    Act as a lubricant between joints which prevents pains and arthritis.
    Keeps the skin healthy and moisturized.
    Transportation of nutrients.


WHAT IF WE FAILED TO DRINK ENOUGH WATER?

  • Dryness of mouth.
  • Dry skin.
  • Cracks on the heals.
  • Excessive thirst.

    REASON TO QUENCH THE THIRST
    Water is not only helping us to quench our thirst in our throat. Quenching thirst not only hydrates our throat. The meaning of thirst is that every cells, tissues, organs and every single metabolism in our body are in need of water. They need to be hydrated so that those organs are sending their signals to our brain though which we feel thirsty and dryness in our throat.
    As long as we fail to drink water, every cells and organs start to slow down its function and soon we'll feel low and dehydrated.

    HOW TO TAKE ENOUGH WATER ?
  • Carry your water bottle wherever you go
  • Keep a remainder to drink water.
  • Eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Fresh fruits and vegetables are composed of 80-90% and 90-95% moisture.
  • Drink fresh juices.
