Stream of Consciousness
We are 6 months into 2024 and I haven’t achieved all my goals yet.
We are 6 months into 2024 and I haven’t achieved all my goals yet. Let’s be true to ourselves, this is the stance of millions worldwide. We all have made our New Year resolutions and have faltered in our discourse of being consistent and true about it. To be consistent in your stance, you need clarity and focus on what you are headed towards, when the head is lost in aimless directions of what should be, we lose our sight of what we are and where we should be headed. In absolute honesty, I too was directionless in the first 6 months of my existence in 2024. To give you more insight into my journey here is my account of the first half of 2024-

HOW TO DEAL WITH NEGATIVE EMOTIONS
An unanticipated and problematic aspect of being human is that we feel far more than we consciously acknowledge. Emotions such as anger, joy, resentment, and fear run through us, lying just outside the realm of ordinary consciousness and eluding you as we race through life's challenges.

I, Human . Content Warning.
As a "humans", I've only written once in the Humans community. Funny that, isn't it? I mean it's not funny like Norm MacDonald's drawn-out joke here, but odd funny that I'd seen that community many times and scooted passed it. Others have written in it plenty of times, but not I. I mean, there's no rules, but as a human, it seems it's worth rectifying that omission. Or else I am playing against the bot-catching, Captcha style checks that regularly pass me as a human. Or something. (As further evidence of my humans-iness, I completely forgot that I had already written in Humans a while ago, so edited this piece accordingly to reflect that. As it originally said I had never written in the Humans community.)

Our Spontaneous Cheese Poetry on Date Night
“Poets have been mysteriously silent on the subject of cheese.” ― G.K. Chesterton, Alarms and Discursions I watched the moon shine brightly this evening through the window of our car. It was day one of two days of travel and the shortest day of the year. ( I wrote this in December 2023). That meant we were traveling mostly at night. The main thing was that we arrived at our first destination and managed to go to sleep, all five of us.

Protests in Kenya Shows Kenyans the Real Cousins of Black America Wish I Never Moved to Ghana . Content Warning.
Tuesday, 25 June 2024 By: TB Obwoge I lived in Kenya and left rather abrubtly, moving to Ghana in less than 3 months after leaving Kenya. When I was in Ghana I regreted it often though I had only a few people I could count on. Most saw me an ATM machine.

when age hit 18yo
As the clock struck midnight, I felt a mix of excitement and trepidation. I had finally turned 18, marking a significant milestone in my life. The world seemed to be unfolding before me like a canvas, waiting to be painted with vibrant colors of independence, freedom, and responsibility. My thoughts drifted back to childhood, when my parents would read me bedtime stories, and I would dream of the day I could make my own decisions. Now, as I stood on the threshold of adulthood, I felt a sense of empowerment wash over me. I could vote, apply for a credit card, and even rent my own apartment – the possibilities were endless.
