Mystery Doll-Ghost Story

A Ghost Story

By Manish UPublished about a year ago 3 min read

In the small town of Ravenwood, there was a dilapidated house on the outskirts of town that had been abandoned for decades. Locals claimed that the house was cursed and that anyone who dared to enter would never return. The windows were boarded up, and the roof was caved in, but there was one thing that remained untouched: a small, antique doll that sat perched on a dusty shelf in the upstairs bedroom.

The doll was unlike any other, with piercing blue eyes and long, curly blonde hair. It was said to be over a century old and had been passed down through generations of the family that once lived in the house. But despite its beauty, there was something unsettling about the doll. Its eyes seemed to follow you around the room, and some claimed to have seen it move on its own.

One day, a young couple, Emily and Jack, decided to explore the abandoned house. They were thrill-seekers, always looking for their next adventure. As they entered the dusty, decrepit home, they felt a chill run down their spines. The air was thick with a musty odor, and they could hear creaking floorboards and rustling in the corners of the room.

They slowly made their way up the stairs, with Emily leading the way. As they reached the top landing, she gasped as she saw the doll staring back at her with its unnerving blue eyes. She couldn't shake the feeling that it was watching her every move.

Jack scoffed at Emily's unease, brushing it off as her overactive imagination. They continued exploring the house, but as they moved from room to room, they could feel a presence following them. They heard whispers, footsteps, and sometimes even the sound of a child giggling.

As they were about to leave, Emily glanced back at the doll and noticed that its expression had changed. It was no longer smiling; instead, it had a look of anger on its face. Emily felt a cold hand wrap around her wrist, and she screamed as she was yanked back towards the doll.

Jack rushed to her side, but as he tried to pull her away, he found that he couldn't move. It was as if an invisible force was holding them in place. Suddenly, the doll's eyes began to glow, and its mouth opened to reveal razor-sharp teeth.

Emily and Jack tried to run, but the house had become a labyrinth, with doors that led nowhere and hallways that twisted and turned. They were trapped, with the doll chasing them at every turn. Emily could feel the doll's breath on her neck, and she knew that they were running out of time.

Finally, they stumbled upon a room that seemed different from the others. It was clean and well-maintained, with a single bed and a window that looked out onto the overgrown garden. As they caught their breath, they noticed an old journal lying on the nightstand.

As they read through the journal, they discovered that the doll had once belonged to a little girl named Lily, who had died under mysterious circumstances. Her parents, unable to bear the loss, had kept her room exactly as it was, including the doll that had been her favorite toy.

But Lily's spirit had never left the house, and her anger and despair had become trapped inside the doll. It was a vessel for her pain and rage, and anyone who entered the house would be trapped there forever.

Emily and Jack knew that they had to find a way to break the curse. They searched through the house and found a box of matches. They set fire to the journal and watched as the flames consumed the pages. As the fire spread, they heard a blood-curdling scream coming from the upstairs bedroom.
