Participating In Bookmas 2020!!

In this article we will be talking about what bookmas is, all of the fun challenges, great holiday-themed recommendations, and daily uploads by your favorite creators. This is a time to celebrate and wrap up the year in a nice little bow!

Even though 2020 has been rough for us all, there is yet joy to be had of the season and a joy in knowing that we are ready to start a new year on a better note. No matter what happens next year we can look at the events of this one and learn from them.

Enough about the old and let's get into the new!

What Is Bookmas?

Bookmas was an event created by Hailey from Hailey in Bookland where creators could post content for their audience featuring books and the holiday season.

She creates a schedule for herself and lets us in on what she plans to do for each day. Her hard work and dedication to pre-recording content that is well planned, intricately edited, and well-strategized content uploads has taken the bookish community by storm.

What Do You Do For Bookmas?

While mostly this time is to talk about books that were read throughout the year, give concluding thoughts, talk about the completion or lack thereof for goals set out for the year (mainly myself), as well as any fun stats; it is also a time to just celebrate books and the bookish community.

How Do You Participate?

Participation does not mean that you have to get in front of a camera and film. Simply watching, reaching out, enjoying your reading with others of a similar mindset, or simply just doing it on your own.

In whatever way you participate, I hope you enjoy the various content that is made and have fun with your own should you choose to do so. The possibilities are never-ending and you can have endless amounts of fun with it.

How Are You Participating In Bookmas?

I will be participating in daily uploads all of December except for Christmas Day itself as I do believe that is a time to be with family. I may or may not do a live on one of my other platforms, but we shall see.

I also want all of my videos to be about the bookish side of my content rather than writing as I am in the midst of scheduling writing and videos ideas surrounding that. Not to mention my room is undergoing major redecoration at the moment.

Let's just say I am really diving into my interior decorator.

While that is going on, I had promised to keep the mess to a minimum therefore the bookshelf is the best (and let's be honest only) place to go to. I have been dreaming when I would be able to finally use that shelf as the background for my videos and now I can.

As for the Christmas aspect I am taking you all along for book shopping excursions, baking special treats, and of course driving to fun locations.

I have been doing Bookmas for 9 days going on 10 and I am so thrilled with how the videos have turned out and so far and pleasantly surprised that I have not crashed and burn with the daily uploading that is filming, editing and getting it on my channel all in one day.

That is not something that was planned but thankfully I have had a couple more days off of work where I can dedicate some pre-recording time to my videos which I have gratefully used on the 9th day in. Better late than never!!!
