The 10 Worst Video Games Ever Made
Video gamers are notoriously picky about their games—and why wouldn't they be? Gaming is a pricey hobby that tends to create entire communities based on them. If a game becomes a hit, it transcends gaming as a subculture and becomes an important part of mainstream pop culture.

Weirdest Gaming Characters of All Time
Video games allow us to explore other worlds and realms that would be impossible to access otherwise. As video game graphics have become more and more advanced, the most creative developers have been providing us with wilder and more unique characters. Some of these characters border on the grotesque, while some give "grotesque" a bad name. Still others aren't malevolent at all, but they are no less unusual. Here are ten of the weirdest gaming characters ever to be released on any console.

What Clicker Games Say About Capitalism. Top Story - September 2018.
Video games are a unique art form—one must interact with the art directly, and the player can change outcomes, form relationships, or even abandon the main story in favor of side quests. Likewise, multiplayer games act as a conduit between us so that we connect with each other through competition or cooperation.

7 Video Games that Took on Heavy Issues
Sometimes video games are delightful colors that bop around the screen and amuse. Sometimes video games hit us with incredibly difficult topics that punch us in the gut so hard we have to pause and think about what just happened. While a good video game can be light and fluffy, the thinkers are the one that tend to stay with us day-to-day and influence our thought processes down the road. It can be something as private as a personal struggle or as large as governmental corruption, but at the end of the day, it’s part of what makes gaming so good.

'Hitman 2's' Potential to Change the Industry
Hitman was a sleeper hit from 2016, but it's not a surprise it flew under the radar. In truth, I don't think I've ever played a game which is this good, with a publisher so determined to ruin it. It seems clear that with Square Enix constantly changing the release plans for the game, to giving the game basically no exposure when it was releasing (hell, I'm a fan of the series and I literally forgot the game was coming out until the game went on sale after all the episodes came out), Square Enix seemed almost dedicated to undermining what is otherwise a rather excellent game. Jim Sterling has a video discussing this here, but now, the tides have changed.

Video Games
I have been playing video games since I was six years old. My aunt set me up on her Super Nintendo, to get me to leave her and my mom alone. I have been hooked ever since. I would ask to play every time I went to her house, and when I was eight years old my mom bought me a Super Nintendo for my birthday. She took me to the store after school and let me pick out a few games. Since then I have always had a gaming system or two. Right now I have three of my own, and yes I am a girl.

Sonic the Hedgehog Has a Deal with the Devil
Super Mario is the most recognizable character on the planet earth. That's not a guess or hyperbole. A survey performed in 1990 showed Mario overtaking the former champion, Mickey Mouse. There's not a soul alive who doesn't know who Super Mario is. So it makes sense that everyone in the gaming industry wanted their own Mario, and Sega was one of them. In 1991, Sonic the Hedgehog was released for the Mega Drive and Genesis to great success. For the next three years, Sonic saw a multitude of games, culminating with Sonic & Knuckles, arguably the best of them. A real rivalry was born – plumber vs. hedgehog.

Where Are They? 10 Dead Franchises Due for Another Shot
Hello, and welcome back to Second Chances. Now, normally this column is all about talking about something that deserves another chance to shine, whether movie, album, game, or even vacation spot. However, in light of my first project with Braindamage Games (follow my girlfriend & my studio's progress here), I decided to broaden my scope this time. See, there are plenty of holes in game libraries these days due to established franchises just... stopping. A healthy gamer can't survive on shooters alone. As the studio begins work on something to fill a void left behind by a dead IP, I decided I wanted to take a moment to give my take on dormant franchises that deserve another chance on the sales charts.
