It was there, 25 years ago I watched as Lila and Andrew kissed beneath the garden hedge. A token of gratitude read the favor: Let love grow. Oh, bottlebrush - my favorite.

One year tiny and small. The next running rampant needing discipline support.

And now these tears may drown the growth.

A token that lasts the tests of time. Unfortunately, the Bloom was a better rival this time around.

Dear Lila, this bottlebrush can be your Andrew from the day of black to forever.

My dear friend you will be missed.
