"Welcome to Soul Flight. This is where souls must visit in between inhabiting bodies," a masked figure that appeared to be a person said, greeting me.

We stood inside a transparent spherical structure. The floor was white and immaculately clean. All around us was outer space on the outside of the structure, almost as if there was no wall separating it from us. I just stared out at all the vastness and stars with my mouth open.

"Wait, what? Do you mean I am dead?" I said, snapping out of my trance.

"Your last body is deceased, yes."

"Why can't I remember how it happened?"

"Memories are wiped after each death, and again after visits at Soul Flight conclude."

"What is the purpose of this place?"

"Well, even though you can't remember your lives, we give you an overview of your last one and how it relates to your general qualities that always follow you into new lives. It helps your qualities and purposes stay imprinted within you as you go."

"How long will I be here?"

"One week in Earth time. Your overview will commence tomorrow."

The room that I was assigned to stay in was located a few floors down from the floor I arrived on. Unable to sleep, I decided to walk around in the halls and try to learn more about this place. Up ahead was a sign above a door that had Archives on it. I decided to check it out.

Once inside, I looked around and was shocked to find that the room was somehow a lot larger than the spherical room when I first arrived. The spherical room must have been the top floor to allow it to be smaller. To the left was another door that had Secrets above it. When I reached it, it said Clearance Required on the center of the door. I checked the knob. It was unlocked. Surely, someone must have accidentally left it unlocked, I thought with a puzzled expression. Directly in front of me was a computer to search for information. On the screen, it had boxes to fill in to narrow your search. It was a search database for souls, as well as specific lives they each all lived.

I wanted to search for my secrets but I had no idea how to identify myself. I examined my body to see if anything was on it. On my left forearm was some kind of code. I typed it into the soul box on the screen and clicked search.

As I was rolling it over in my mind with a doomed look on my face, a loud alarm began to go off and red lights near the ceiling began flashing. A group of identical masked figures like the one I met when I arrived here burst through the door.

"What are you doing in here? You may have seriously altered the futures of many souls. Accessing that database allows you to remember your time at Soul Flight when you enter your next life and there is nothing we can do to stop it. On the rare occasions this has happened, serious changes to futures took place."

"What's worse is you are a very significant soul for Earth," another stated, glaring at me. I couldn't see his face but I could feel his stare penetrating through his mask.

"We have never held a trial to consider execution of a soul but this may be a situation for the first," another one said, his shoulders falling limp.

I just stood there frozen with my fate unknown.
