Blood in the Water

Her fins flap weakly against bloodied glass. Handprints, fingers spread wide, litter the same panel. The cold current carries even more blood past her and into the vast ocean.
Her grin is shark-like and self-satisfied as she turns her eyes to the mangled human bodies floating up to the surface. Her sharp grin widens as she makes her way further into the depths.
She’ll get to play again soon, the humans aren’t smart enough to accept her warnings for what they are and more will seek her out yet again. These days, her waters rarely cease running red.
