It had been weeks, and still she had trouble making herself get out of bed each morning. The pain of his betrayal had left her in throes of devastation, and it seemed she would never get back to the job of living a life.

Wasn’t it bad enough, she thought, that Greg was a liar and a cheat? Wasn’t it enough that she was going to the lawyer’s office today to file the first of what would be many divorce documents?

She’d taken it. But when the cat had turned his back on her and left with Greg?

That hurt.
