Cathy and Chris show up at Foxworth Hall, which has been re-worked by Bart, for his 25th birthday celebration party. Bart has stayed fixated on Malcolm and has an irritated relationship with his mom and uncle/step-father because of their perverted relationship. He's even changed his last name to Foxworth so as to underscore his good ways from them. His indignation and contempt is especially pointed towards Chris, however as yet indicating a profound love for his mom. Jory and his significant other, Melodie, show up to report she is pregnant with twins. Everybody, except Bart, is amped up for the news and Bart is envious of his sibling since he covertly desires Melodie.

The following day, Cindy shows up and Bart invites her with scorn, not in any event, needing to recognize her as his sister because of her only being received. At the birthday celebration, Jory and Cindy play out an artful dance for the visitors, however Jory has a mishap that leaves him incapacitated starting from the waist and finishes his move profession. Melodie is troubled since she can't live with a spouse who can't move, nor have intercourse to her once more. Cindy presumes that Bart was liable for the occurrence since he had refreshed his protection strategy the day preceding the mishap. When gone up against with this doubt, Bart denies this to Cathy and Chris, however they don't completely trust him.

As months go with Jory hospitalized and Melodie getting more discouraged, Bart exploits her weak state and entices her. When Jory gets back home, Corrine's will is perused and Bart is incensed to discover that he will acquire the Foxworth home just on his 35th birthday celebration, leaving Chris as the gatekeeper of his cash up to that point. Cathy finds Bart and Melodie's issue when strolling in on them engaging in sexual relations. Bart discloses to Cathy that Melodie cherishes him and calls attention to that Malcolm was fixated on his own mom until she surrendered him and the amount he abhors seeing his own mom with Chris. Cathy then goes up against Melodie and takes steps to demolish her life in the event that she doesn't begin supporting her significant other Jory. Jory anyway before long endeavors self destruction by suffocating in the pool, yet is spared by Chris. Following this, Melodie guarantees Jory that she will be more mindful to him, yet she before long attempts to proceed with her issue with Bart, who having had her, dismisses her. Cindy brings home another sweetheart, Lance, to meet the family during supper. Nonetheless, Bart beats him subsequent to finding the two engaging in sexual relations. Regardless of his disdain towards her, Bart by the by begins to desire for Cindy.

On Christmas Day, Bart intentionally admits his issue with Melodie to Jory, and the stun makes her go into untimely work. She brings forth a kid and young lady named Darren and Deirdre. Be that as it may, she shows no enthusiasm for them just as Jory and suddenly forsakes them. Bart follows Cindy meeting with another beau at a bar and faces her on her route home through the forested areas and, without giving it much thought, engages in sexual relations with her. Cindy is keen on having a relationship with Bart and concedes that she has certifiable affections for him, in any event, uncovering she thinks about Cathy and Chris' mystery, yet he dismisses her having satiated his desire. Crushed, Cindy comes back to class in New York.

Chris chooses to search for another house for Cathy, Jory, the twins, and himself to give Bart his own space. They enlist a babysitter, Toni, to deal with the twins. Bart begins seeking after her, which inconveniences Cathy since she was trusting Toni would wind up with Jory. Bart before long blames Toni for being with him simply for his cash and says a final farewell to her. He at that point powers the family to go to an immersion at the Foxworth house of prayer for the twins and nearly suffocates Deirdre in the text style, causing Cathy and Chris to choose to leave Foxworth Hall with Jory, Toni, and the twins to escape from sociopathic Bart. Bart has a psychological breakdown and blames Cathy for relinquishing him for Chris, and reprimands her for destroying the family. He is going to murder her with a blade before he is halted by Jory. At long last observing that it is miserable to support him, Cathy chooses to leave Bart for good. As he gets back in the wake of discovering them another house, Chris heads over to support an abandoned driver and is struck by a passing truck, which murders him in a flash.

A few hours go before the police show up to advise the family regarding Chris' mishap and demise. This makes Bart understand his bad behaviors and how he has driven individuals away. He understands his affection for Cindy and admits to her when she returns home for Chris' burial service. Bart humbly gives a moving tribute at Chris' memorial service and is appreciative to Chris for raising him when he didn't have to. At long last, Cathy uncovers that her kids had effective existences from Foxworth Hall. Jory flourishes in his recuperation, has hitched Toni, and they are raising the twins and expecting a kid together. Bart turns into a TV preacher and weds Cindy. In any case, Cathy decides to stay at Foxworth Hall as she keeps on grieving the loss of her darling Chris. At some point, she goes up to the storage room, sits by a window and, as she imagines yellow paper blossoms, there is a ramifications that she had kicked the bucket of a wrecked heart.

Bart Foxworth

This movie definitely put me on edge. We sit back and look at each character trying to decipher, "did he really do that or was it just a mistake?" This movie definitely had it's oohs and ahhs moments. Looking at Bart Foxworth for example, I mean, if you got to know his character really well you will see a man who was hurting inside. He wanted love but did not know what love was. He saw the sins of his mother and it corrupted his thoughts.

Knowing the past films in this Flowers in the attic series, I expected this movie to be a bit dark. Bart is not a character that you would automatically like. You definitely get a weird vibe from him the moment he enters the scene. Just by the way he interacted with Chris, Cindy, Melodie, and Jory you can sense the tension in their relationships. Bart did not like Chris cause he was technically his uncle who was sleeping with his sister. As for Cindy, he lusted after her, but denied those feelings for her because he was trying so hard to be like his Grandfather Malcolm. I also thought that Bart was a little jealous of the attention Cindy had gotten. Melodie and Bart's relationship was the most disturbing to me. I think because Melodie basically used Bart for sex and Bart used Melodie to fulfill the love he did not recieve from his family. Lastly, Jory was his older brother who always judged Bart. The tension between these two brothers was evident. Cathy favored Jory the most and I think Bart had sensed that. Bart got annoyed when one of his guests got excited to see Jory and Melodie. He even was jealous of the love Jory had with Melodie.

Throughout the film, you begin to question whether Bart Foxworth had mental health issues or he was just plain evil. The things that he chose to do pushed his family and friends away. In my opinion, I think that Bart was so hurt by the rejection he felt from his family that it caused him to lean on the teachings of his Grandfather Malcolm, who was not a man you would want to admire.

What was Bart Foxworth's goals? Was it to be the richest man alive? Was it to be loved by those around him? Was it to find out who he was inside? I think it was all of the above. I think Bart struggled finding who was as a boy and a man. He just wanted to be loved but he had a hard time accepting love. He definitely was someone who struggled with keeping friendships and finding love.

As a whole, I quite enjoyed this movie. I found it interesting and intriguing to psychoanalyze Bart Foxworth's character. To answer the question, "Was Bart Foxworth evil?" My response to that question would be no, because he was a man looking for love but looked for it in the wrong places.

In conclusion, James Maslow did an amazing job as Bart Foxworth. His character was intriguing, yet dark and mysterious. Maslow definitely made Bart Foxworth a charming man who you'd be fascinated learning about.
