'Cobra' starring Chiyaan Vikram and Srinidhi Shetty of 'KGF 2' fame. R. who has made successful films in Tamil like 'Demante Colony', Nayanthara's 'Imaika Nodigal' (released in Telugu as 'Anjali CBI Officer'). Directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu. Vikram's getups are impressive in the teaser and trailer. They made us believe that there will be a movie beyond 'Arachitudu'. And how was the movie?

Story (Cobra Movie Story): Chief Minister of Orissa, Prince of Scotland, a Minister in Russia... Famous people die in different countries. Interpol officer Aslam (Irfan Pathan) suspects that Madi (Vikram), a general accountant in Kolkata, is involved in these murders. Judy (Meenakshi Govind Rajan), a calculus student who is expected to help in this case, will be given a place in their team. Bhavana (Sreenidhi Shetty) is a student who loves Judy... Madi. Each of the victims is related to Rishi (Roshan Mathew), the head of a multi-billion business empire. Who is he? Did Madi really commit murders? Or is it just a suspicion of the police? And finally, what happened? You have to watch the movie to know.

Cobra Review: Vikram is known for choosing different getups and different stories. The getups, concept based story choices did not bring the expected success. But...there are many audiences who are waiting for a proper film from Vikram. 'Cobra' gives them full satisfaction.

'Cobra' is a concept oriented film. But... Vikram's performance and Rahman's music are more impressive than the concept. 'Cobra' is just the beginning... into the story. Sounds interesting. The story gets interesting as it progresses. But... the length is a problem. Some scenes seem stretched. The climax is also troubling. The director, who had advanced the story wisely till then, brought it to the routine commercial formula when the story finally arrived. Logics and calculations are left. That one thing sticks like a stone under the teeth. Hero characterization is complex. The audience will not know that until the investigation. Then there are some flaws in terms of characterization.

Music by AR Rahman is superb. 'Adhira...' song is heard for years. Other songs are also good. The background music is memorable after leaving the theater. What makes Rahman's music unique is that it has international standards in sound. At the same time... emotional scenes were ensured to have a nativity feeling.Cinematography is good. The production values are rich. Every frame is grand. The production design is at a high level. Dilip Subbaraman's stunts are good.

How did the actors do? : Vikram's performance cannot be compromised. He has a habit of living in the story and character. She will be seen in some getups in this movie. Vikram's performance is more impressive than those getups. The investigation scene and the climax scene were brilliantly acted. He once again showed diversity as an actor. Looks new. The actor impresses once again in Vikram. Srinidhi Shetty of 'Kjeef' fame is acting beautifully. They kiss in the song before the interval. As an actress, she did well in emotional scenes. Mrinalini Ravi's character comes in flashback. It is emotional. Her performance was smooth. Roshan Mathew Villainism is good. Mia George, Irfan Pathan, K.S. Ravikumar, John Vijay and others suited their roles perfectly. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu has been successful in selecting actors suitable for the roles.
