Read the notes of his wife as the director attempted his Conradian tale in Vietnam.

Watched the film his wife created later as the director fell deeper and deeper into the madness of that war...and his large production.

Loved this incredible work and that endless darkness at its cinematic heart.

We watched this for film study many years ago in English! I think I’ll have to rewatch it now as an adult

An iconic movie, well done and good luck in the challenge 😁

  • Looks like it's the kinda movie that I would enjoy! Thank you for this!

Difficult time in our nation's life and those of us old enough to remember it. Too bad we haven't learned our lesson.

What a great choice and a perfect review. This one had so much talent and so many incredible scenes. "Ride of the Valkyries" took on a whole new meaning.

oh sir, one of my favourite movies! you succinctly covered the most crucial points! so very well done!

  • One of the defining movies of my generation. The oblivious depravity of, "I love the smell of napalm in the morning," & the absolutely cruel logic that has played out in every guerilla conflict since of conquering & ruling by terror.
