The Stone of Virtue: Part 4
The pain came first, searing, burning, and pounding right between her eyes. Then noise, first a ringing in her ears, then muffled as if under water, finally load and clear. It was the forest—the chirping of birds, the buzzing of insects, and someone calling her name.

The Stone of Virtue. Top Story - August 2023.
The sun peeked over the horizon as Rose made her way into town. Morning dew clung to the grass, but already the scent of warm earth hung in the air. She passed people here and there, some collecting eggs from rickety coops, others trying not to slosh buckets of milk on the ground before getting them inside. No one spoke or offered so much as a nod in her direction.

The Stone of Virtue Part 2
The afternoon sun beamed down from a cloudless sky. Rose seethed as a trickle of sweat met the fresh stripe on her back. Leon’s whip had flown the moment they’d left Fowler’s sight. When Leon’s arm grew tired, she was sent to tend the field as he fetched new eggs himself. Though the heat of the day inclined Rose to pull back her long red hair, she left it loose. Her eyes burned and nose ran from crying, she’d rather boil than let them know they’d affected her so.

Beneath Six Feet
In the midst of life's bustling rhythm, an unnerving silence enveloped a small, dimly lit room. The air was thick with the scent of aged wood and the weight of inevitability. In the center of the room lay a coffin, its polished surface gleaming dully in the subdued light. The room's only occupant, Henry, sat alone, his thoughts consumed by the paradox of life and death.

AN YEAR WITHOUT SOCIAL MEDIA
Heyaa! Welcome to a wonderful series about me talking about myself (I know it wasn't required, and nobody asked for this; thank you!). Being an anti-social person, I find it really easy to write down my thoughts rather than talk about them in person. If reading this entertains you, you're welcome; if not, it's okay. I might read this later to amuse myself. So if you are two of my honorable FRIENDS, you might already know that I quit social media for the year 2022 (and am still continuing), and the reason is quite obvious, I was jealous of everybody that breathed rich and successful there; I just couldn't take it but feel overwhelmed by their life's beauty, while I had absolutely nothing to rant about. Basically, I was just existing there for no reason, so I decided to take a year off and put my life back together.
