Ella Meets Shaun, Shaun Meets Candy
A Cherry-Flavoured Betrayal Prequel
Author's Note: If you haven't already done so, I recommend you read Cherry-Flavoured Betrayal first. The link is below.

Ella toyed with her espresso martini as she looked across the bar at Shaun. He was even more attractive than his mugshot suggested. Ella knew she was going to have some fun with this assignment. She kept her cool and didn't approach him but let him find her.
Although it meant she was bait, she knew how to handle guys like that. Ella trusted her instincts and became Candy. No more was she the career-driven cop; she was now a delectable airhead. She knew that was the best way to reel him in...a man like that. All hubris.
Shaun was busy recruiting his team for the latest score he was going to make. Even Ella...well, Candy had to admit, he was easy on the eyes. Tall, dark, and handsome with a very commanding aura. He was very distracted by Candy's presence in the busy bar. His right-hand man was going over schematics, in code, of course. Still, the only schematics he was interested in were Candy's figure-hugging little black dress, entrancing red locks, and her ethereal pale complexion.
He pushed passed his yabbering buddy and made his way to Candy, feeling her animal magnetism reeling him in.

So, this is the second part, or rather, one of the prequel parts to the story Cherry-Flavoured Betrayal that I entered into the Micro Heist Challenge.
I figured, now we have the Chapters community, I'd make good on my promise to follow up some of the stories people had asked about in the comments.

Such a great prequel! I’d be drawn to her too. 😍
Oooo, I'm so happy you gave us more of Candy! Who's actually Ella! This is soooo awesome!
Wow instant chemistry but seems to be fraught with difficulty. Great work 💜
