Donnie visits Sharon.

The house was dark with only one vehicle in the driveway. Teddy was busy in the woods with Fred, so I figured she must be alone. The adrenaline rush from chasing Ted through the woods had crashed leaving me exhausted. Plus, the hole fuckin Fred had put in my arm wasn’t helping. I popped another beer and dug through the console for some of that Thorazine I’d been spiking Ted’s drinks with. The gunshot wound was burning like hell, making my mind fuzzy. Couldn’t have that, so I swallowed a tablet washing it down with the rest of my beer. Then, leaned back in the driver’s seat to rest my eyes.

Shit! I jerked awake and looked at my phone. 2 AM. Son of a bitch. I pulled out the binoculars to check the house. Still no activity, so I slipped Fred’s balaclava over my face and replaced my boots with soft-soled shoes.

Checking the yard in front of me for dogs, I slipped quietly along the side of the house to the backyard. Something I had learned from a cat burglar I shared a cell with once. If you creep alongside a building under the windows, you won’t be seen, even if you make a noise, no one will figure out it’s a person. I dashed through the open backyard to the shrubs separating it from 215’s backyard and stopped to catch my breath.

Surveying the back of the target house I was sure this one would be successful. After slipping silently up the back porch steps, I opened my lock pick case and found the right tool for the job. Another useful skill I picked up in the pen. In less than thirty seconds the lock tumbled, and I was in. The back door opened into a small kitchen. I tip-toed through it to the hallway that led to the bedrooms and bathroom.

When I did a home invasion and rape, I preferred to wait in the bathroom behind the shower curtain; Psycho-like. There was nothing like catching a woman by surprise on the toilet. It was epic. I was getting hard just thinking about it. I lay down in the bathtub, pulling the shower curtain securely around me, straightening it out the way I’d found it. I had to suppress a chuckle, thinking of the scare and other things I was about to put into this woman. I waited patiently and was rewarded by the sound of a bedroom door opening and soft footsteps padding down the hall to the bathroom. I gripped the boning knife in my good hand and held my breath.

The footsteps padded past the bathroom. Shit. Where the hell was she going? I heard water running and the clatter of a pot or pan. Cupboards opened and shut, and a kitchen chair scraped against the tile as it was pulled out from under the table. I silently climbed out of the tub and slinked carefully down the hall, peeking around the corner into the kitchen. A small brunette, sweet.

She was dressed in an oversized t-shirt and nothing else. I hated wasting time taking clothes off my targets. She was scrolling through her phone at the table, unaware of my presence. I watched her for a few minutes before making my move. Nice legs, curvy ass. Maybe I’ll bend her over the table first.

She rose to pour water into a mug. That’s when I sprang, startling her and making her spill boiling water on her arm. “Ow! Ow! Who are you? What do you want?” she screamed in surprise, rubbing her burned arm.

“I’m here to keep you company. A pretty lady like you shouldn’t have to sleep alone.” I scooped her phone off the table and tossed it into the trash can. “Come on over here and let me get a good look at you, bitch.” Trembling, she stepped closer to the stove, turning on all the burners. What the fuck was she thinking? I reached out and grabbed her by the arm, yanking her to the table. I planned on nailing her sweet ass right in her own kitchen.
