THE FAITHFUL FRIEND

THE FAITHFUL FRIEND

By Okafor Ernestine Published 4 days ago 1 min read

In the sea of faces, many claim to be near,
But few stand the test of time, and fewer still hold dear.
The title of friend, so easily bestowed,
Yet true loyalty and love, are rare and often lost.

Many friends I know, with smiles so wide and bright,
But when darkness falls, they vanish from sight.
Their words are empty, their hearts untrue,
Leaving me to wander, in a world anew.

But then there's one, a shining star so rare,
A friend who brings forth happiness, and shows they truly care.
Of all the friends I've known, just one has stood the test,
A faithful companion, who has proven truly blessed.

This greatest friend I know, lasts forevermore,
A constant presence, through life's joys and sorrows' score.
They bring joy to my heart, and love that's pure and true,
A friend of long suffering, who sees me through.

Through laughter and through tears, they stand by my side,
A rock of strength and comfort, my heart's pride.
A faithful friend is rare to find, a treasure so divine,
A friend of success, a friend worth dying for, all the time.

So here's to this dear friend, who stands by me always,
A bond so strong and unbreakable, through life's joys and gaze.
May our friendship flourish, like a garden in bloom,
A testament to love and loyalty, in every room.

For in a world of fleeting connections, and shallow ties,
This faithful friend is a beacon, that shines in my eyes.
A reminder that true love and loyalty still exist,
A treasure to cherish, a friendship that will forever persist.
