When Joy and Sorrow Collide
I went to meet my niece who had just been born. I was so happy to be at the hospital; normally, I hate going there, but this time, I was filled with joy. However, it's not always good news for everyone. As I was leaving the hospital, I saw a man crying, pouring his heart out in the elevator. The people around him were curious and asked why he was crying like that. He replied, "My wife is no more." He was trembling, barely able to stand. The people in the elevator held his hand and said, "Be strong," but only God knows what he was going through. It felt as if the ground had slipped from under his feet. I felt like crying too. Life can be so unpredictable, bringing happiness and sorrow in the same breath.

Promises in the Dark: A Love Story Forged in Trust
Standing outside Cordelia's house, I took a deep breath, trying to calm the storm of emotions inside me. I didn't know what I was going to say, but I needed answers. Promises in the Dark: A Love Story Forged in Trust
Everything with Cordelia was going so much better than I had expected. Initially, I sought revenge, but her kindness changed me completely. I had truly come back to hurt Kai's family, but being with Cordelia turned out to be more meaningful than any petty revenge. I couldn't afford to lose her over something so trivial. We went on dates, hid from Kai, and everything was going smoothly until the reality of my return to London pulled me back. I had to go back to college; UCL was having an event I needed to attend, and my last semester was about to start. We were so excited about our relationship that I forgot to mention we would have to be in a long-distance relationship. Despite this, I had no problem with it because I was in love with her.
