Dead Space
Chapter 1 NASA Space X Launch Facility, Kennedy Space Center Cape Canaveral, Florida You can't hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. Or do they know? Staring through the glass of my helmet a debate wages in my mind. It may be true. A scream may be silent in the vacuum of space. But is that silence only outside the screamers mouth. Is that same scream deafening inside the screamers head. Does the sound taken from the scream in the vacuum of space take away the fear or does it make the fear worse.

Potter's Cabin
"The cabin in the woods had been abandoned for years, but one night a candle burned in the window." The flame from the campfire crackled. Scout Master Henry Thompson looked around at his troop. Ten pairs of wide eyes stared back at him. " You may have heard the stories about Troop 49, before. You may have heard them called the lost troop. You may have thought they were just a story to keep young scouts in line, but they were as real as you and me. Then lowering his voice, he continued.

A bowl of Macaroni and cheese and Grandma
One of my first memories is standing in my grandma's kitchen. Most of the memory isn't clear. A smile from my mom. A feeling of love and warmth. My grandma's laugh. The sound of a conversation I'm too young to follow. Mostly I remember how special I feel. The rest of the grandkids my brother, my cousins are still playing outside. I'm the only one in the kitchen just me, nobody else.

Dragon Ryder
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. But that’s not where our story begins. First, I must tell you a story of a boy who came to a ranch to play behind a barn while his father tended horses. I must also tell you of a girl who lived in the house on the ranch where the barn stood. You see our story doesn’t start with dragons who haunt the sky above the valley. Our story begins in another valley or maybe the same one in a different time or a different universe where the valley exists simultaneously in a parallel space. In that valley far away from the one we are in now a boy who plays while his father works and a girl who is tired of having no one to play with at all will begin a tale of love, a battle of good and evil, and yes dragons.
