Thanksgiving Meals
Thanksgiving is coming up this month. There are several thoughts that pass through my mind for this holiday. This day is a time to give thanks. People gather around to say what they are grateful for. Each family has different traditions during the holidays. These get passed on to each generation to carry them through the years of life. Over the years I have seen families just use this holiday as a way to connect with each other. Families use this day to connect with each other is to talk while making the family meal. The families also bond with each other while learning from each other.

Voting And All The Days Surrounding It Before And After
The time is etching closer and closer for the voting. The conversation fast forwards to after voting. What will everyone be doing beyond the vote? Before looking toward the after voting time, we must focus on before the voting. There are arguments spreading all over the world like wildfire. A big number of people are fighting against voting at all. The main reason some are against voting is because of the issues that are not being discussed. These issues are not even being brought in as the main topic when it comes down to all the serious matters. People are having a hard time finding someone that they feel is the right man or woman for the job.

A Halloween Recipe
Each year for Halloween there is a recipe that I make. It is actually a pretty simple recipe to make with very little ingredients to it. I take one full jar of smooth peanut butter to place in a microwave-safe bowl. Over the top of the peanut butter, I put one full jar of whatever kind of icing that I choose to use. This time I will go with the regular kind of vanilla icing. The entire bowl is then placed in the microwave for sixty to seventy seconds. The time depends on the type of microwave used. If making a bigger amount for more people it is better to add extra ingredients. It is always good to repeat the recipe if needed. This makes it a little easier to make more than one batch without worrying that there is not enough of something.

The People In The Picture
It was in the middle of summer, but this day was cooler than the other days. I had a doctor's appointment that day to get to at a specific time. The time that we left was earlier than intended. It is always better arriving early than late. I took my phone out along the way to take some pictures. My appointment was outside of Marion that would take about 2 hours to get to. I had taken several pictures of all the things that had caught my attention. On a side road that was a shortcut, I could see a house behind the trees. I decided to take a picture of it. I only looked at the picture for a short time because there were several other spots that I had seen along the way that I wanted to take a picture of.

The Scare Shop
Maria and her friends had heard about a shop where the owners scare their customers. They were at a bar one night not too far from their college. A middle-aged man came over to their table and pulled up a chair to sit down. A younger man who Maria recognized from school was with him. She had just seen the young man here and there, but she did not know him. He pulled up a chair next to the other man.

The Waiting
The young woman placed the candle on the table in front of the window. She had placed a candle in the window every single night. The candle that sat in the window was to help him find his way home. The years had passed by while he never made it home. She dreamt that he would walk in the door giving out hugs to everyone. As time passed by, hope had begun to fade away more and more with each passing day.

The Abandoned Home
The young couple decided to take a short cut down the overgrown path through the woods. They passed the polluted stream where they first met. The rusty old crumbling house is still by the edge of the road just outside of the woods. There was a broken porch swing just hanging by one side. There was glass from the shattered windows all over the ground. The old tattered and faded curtains that were all now white were blowing outside of the window. Five old scarecrows were still up in the yard. The straw was gone from the bigger male scarecrows right arm and leg. The hat had a piece torn off of it on the top. The stitched-on mouth was now only a partial mouth. The left side of the mouth was all that remained. There was no right eye left. Something was sticking out of his pocket. She noticed it every time that they would walk by the house.

The Hidden Vanity
We go through time carrying special items that have sentimental value to us. There are times when some of these items get left. There are certain items that can hide in the shadows waiting to show themselves to just the right person. The lively objects that carry a great deal of information wait through time searching to find their person. These objects allow the person or persons that they have chosen to discover them. Once the person discovers the item, it begins to show the stories that they have gathered over the years. The item does not show its tales to the person all at once or at the very start. After giving the new owners time to settle with them they begin to show one story at a time. When an item has chosen its new owner, it has already begun to take in their story to add with the other collections of stories. The items do not normally share their owner's own personal stories with them. In this story, we have a writer named Allen who discovers a new story with a very specially matched twist to the end.

The New Owner
The new owner pulled into the long driveway. She had not come to see the hose before she bought it. The word of the old house owner was good enough for her. On both sides of the driveway were two large stained boulders. The boulders were half red on the top. The bottom of the boulders was half black and half purple. The boulders on the right side were just outside the fence that surrounded a very big yard. As the new owner made her way up to the gate latch to open the door to the gate, she decided to take a better look at one of the boulders. Looking at the boulder to the left of the gate door, she could see a figure hidden inside the boulder. It was a young woman with her hands reached up like she was trying to get out. Her face from the shapes it was making looked as though she was crying. She placed her hand on the stone to see what it felt like because the person looked so real. The surface of the stone boulder was smooth like a plastic bottle. The owner moved her hand back away still staring at the boulder. As she turned back toward the gate, she thought she saw the eyes of the person on the boulder open. She quickly turned back to the boulder to see that the eyes were still closed. The owner shook the thought and the image out of her head. The other boulder she decided on the right side of the gate looked the same. The only difference with the boulder on the right is that it was a male figure etched into the stone. The owner continued with opening the gate to the yard. The old house owner was true to his word about the house from what she could see.

Cooking With Happiness
I started made a new tradition with my dad some years ago. He always liked how I made my chicken. He also liked the random recipes that I would come up with. I decided one year to start another recipe. This recipe was a different way of making chicken and noodles. This is not a really difficult recipe to make at all. I would just take whatever favor of Ramen noodles that I had bought and cook them. After I separated the noodles from the broth I would fry up some boneless skinless chicken breasts. While cooking the chicken I would add a little soul food seasoning. Next would be a few pinches of garlic powder but not so much that it would overpower the meal. The last seasoning would be the seasoned meat tenderizer. The seasons are changeable according to how the cook likes it.
