'Surfin' Safari'
The Beach Boy's debut album, "Surfin' Safari was released on October 1st 1962, but their origins go back to early November 1961. Wilson parents, Murry and Audree went on a business trip to Mexico City, leaving their three sons at their home in Hawthorne California with an emergency sum. Oldest Brother, Brian Wilson was a musical prodigy who loved the harmonies of the 50s vocal group The "Four Freshman", Younger Brother, Carl Wilson was an aspiring guitarist who loved practicing to Chuck Berry records. Middle Brother, Dennis was a surfer and suggested to Brian that he write a song about Surfing. Brian convened his brothers, First Cousin Mike Love and Brian's High School Friend Al Jardine and used the emergency money left for them along with an additional 300$ lent by Al's Mother Virginia to rent or buy musical instruments. Brian and Mike composed the tune Surfin'. When Murry and Audree returned home, Murry was initially furious that the boys had "Wasted" their money but was quickly won over by the quality of Brian and Mikes' song. They recorded a version of Surfin' for Hite and Dorinda Morgan of Candix Records. They initially wanted to call their group The "Pendletones" after the popular pendolton shirts many surfers favored. Label promotions man Russ Regan changed their name to the Beach Boys without the groups blessing. Surfin' was released as a single on Candix Records on November 27th 1961 , was a local radio hit in the Southern California Market and sold more than 40'000 copies

The Rise and Fall of Splash Mountain
Tony Baxter: Creator of Splash Mountain One day in the early 1980s, while driving on the L.A. freeways, Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter had a dilemma. The America Sings attraction in Tomorrowland with it's cast of dozens of Audio-Animatronic figures was set to close at Disneyland. On the opposite end of the park, the "Bear Country" section featuring the Country Bear Jamboree was failing to attract guests. At the same time Walt Disney Attractions, President Dick Nunis was lobbying WED Enterprises (Now Walt Disney Imagineering) to build a log flume attraction arguing that every amusement park had one. suddenly Baxter came up with an idea put a flume ride in Bear Country based on the Disney film "Song Of The South" in which the design aesthetic would allow them to use the America Sings AA's since Marc Davis the designer of America Sings had also worked on "Song Of The South".

Life On The Spectrum: Chapter 13
After midnight on January 1st 2020, just on a whim I checked out my ex-girlfriends Facebook page. What I saw was a picture of my ex-girlfriend with another man who's hand was on her shoulder. I felt sick. I realized it was too late to get her back again. I must have naively thought she would eventually come to her senses and come back to me. I did not expect her to find someone else that soon. I felt so ill that I threw up. The next few days were spent soul searching where I had gone wrong. After about a week, I felt that I could no longer live with this pain so I was admitted into a hospital. I met some nice people there who encouraged me to let my emotions express themselves. While there, my drum teacher managed to get me a get well card signed by Brian Wilson's former drummer Jim Hines which really made me feel good. After a week at the hospital I was discharged. Over the next month or so we heard on the news that a virus in Wuhan China was spreading. My parents had a trip to the Florida Keys planned in early March. My Brother was warning my parents that he was reading the virus would be bad and pleaded with them not to go. On the day they were supposed to leave for Florida. I had a total re-lapse about my pent-up feelings for my ex-girlfriend. I ended up being hospitalized again. While in the hospital, I helped a fellow patient make it through her first hospitalization in what was one of the most gratifying experiences of my life. When I was let out this time all seemed normal until that night when the NBA announced it was shutting down. within a few days the whole world shut down amidst the COVID-19 epidemic. The President made things worse than ever with his lack of decency. My band Lonely At The Top was also in a state of limbo as we tried to ride out the pandemic.

Life On The Spectrum :Chapter 12
I had started entering the world of online dating about a year before I met the CAP-G Producer. After the falling out I doubled my efforts and for months I had a few close calls but no real success. It was obvious most Neurotypical Girls were not interested in me and I did not disclose my diagnosis on the dating profiles. I did disclose my diagnosis to the CAP-G Producer but that obviously did not work out. I had definitely decided that if I were to have a significant other, I would prefer a fellow Aspie, This was no easy task since the diagnosis is relatively rare in Females. In desperation I tried a site called Aspieology dedicated to Neurodivergent relationships. At first I couldn’t find anyone near me so I sat on it for a few months. A few months later around the holidays I spotted a profile of a girl my age who lived not real close, but close enough that I thought it could be realistic. Her description seemed to indicate that she had very similar interests to mine.I sent her a message, she replied back and we messaged each other frequently over the next few weeks. She said that she wanted to wait until March before meeting me around her birthday, coincidentally my Birthday is also in March. I agreed considering I waited this long, a few more months would be fine.

Life On The Spectrum Chapter 11
Since leaving Vanguard and losing so many people who meant so much to me, I have continued to try to live as best I can. I completed an Audio production course in College and with my Uncle John made my first big serious recording, a cover of the Beatles, “If I Fell.” On Thursday Nights for a long period of time I would sing several songs as part of my Uncle’s act at a local bar, and I have had several strong auditions for bands but nothing had yet fully clicked. Still, I love playing the drums and I look for chances to sing whenever I can. My love for music is very deep.

In Mid-August 2010 I suddenly realized that there were people my age and younger who were already living by themselves, halfway through College and higher up on the social ladder than I was. My years of trying to escape adulthood had caught up with me and the reality of my situation sunk in.

Life On The Spectrum: Chapter 9
During Summer 2008, it felt like a whole new world was within my grasp. I felt a sense of accomplishment for my graduation yet was relieved that I still had some sort of program at Vanguard to keep me grounded with my past. I don’t think it would have been comfortable me at that time to be suddenly thrown into a future I was not comfortable with. That summer, my parents had a pool and hot tub installed in our backyard so it was a fun and relaxing summer as well.

Life On The Spectrum: Chapter 8
In one moment at the end of the camp I hated, I instantly became a more empathetic and caring person. I also began to realize that I was not “one of them,” that I was my own person. I learned to empathize with them but I knew that I had my own potential and that I needed to evolve into a much different person from the confused self-hating monster that I had become. And I wanted to do this without surrendering my essence from my childhood. I realized that I had had an Epiphany and vowed to move forward with a whole new outlook. The next few weeks went by with me recording drum and vocal tracks for my album with my Music Teacher on Guitar including a heartfelt version of Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” testifying to how much I missed my family and friends. I spent a lot of the time on the computer for the next few weeks looking at pictures of the removal of the EPCOT Arm and Wand next to Spaceship Earth (told ya,) which was exciting.
