What is Love?
What is Love? The world searches for it, yet barely anyone finds it. The difference in the types can also be seen from family to lovers. We all search for that Love and acceptance of others. Some just do not have a healthy family, leading to choosing the wrong mates. Yet it is ingrained in our very nature to seek this same thing. From the beginning, humanity wanted Love and to avoid disappointment. I am no different from the others in finding belonging in family and the outside world. It is strange to sit back and watch others in their many relationships. However, more personal experience is needed to ensure everything is correct. I have watched the relationships in my family and of those around me. It is interesting to see how successful marriages looked like my parents and grandparents have had. I have seen some toxic relationships with family and friends also. Yet even watching the crime shows have shown all the red flags to look at as a warning. Then, to see messed up people even having a loving relationship is also so interesting.

A Perfect Day for Skiing
The crisp slopes were perfect. It was gently laid the night before with anticipation of today. My skis were ready as I entered the ideal day for the slopes. The cold was refreshing. Skiing was my favorite pastime, and I had finally taken my time off work. I woke up early for the empty slopes, yet the brisk air was calling me. I rode up the lift with the site of the snow-covered trees. The breeze was freezing but perfect for the day. I arrived at the top, and the slope was untouched. My skies have been waxed and ready. The smooth snow with no tracks as I came upon the hill. The sky was perfect, and I headed down the mountain. The speed calmed my heart to be alone on the slopes. The trees gave the hill the lines, and I cannot stop this great sport. This was one of the most advanced slopes. I was going my way till my skin became loose. Stopping became more difficult as I headed toward the trees. Snow was flying every day as my life flashed before my eyes. The snow suddenly gave way, and I was surrounded by snow. I finally realized I was in a pile of snow off the slope. My body was sore, and my head was throbbing. It was such a perfect day, and now I might just die in this hole. Suddenly, the snow started making a noise and moving. Is this a rescue or doom?

Dancing in the Snow
I felt the crunch of crisp snow under my feet in the fresh layers. Shoveling was my chore as I headed out with my shovel on this wintery day. Little crunches were behind me, and who did I see? My little girl bundled up, jumping in my footsteps and laughing. Her tiny boot prints are in mine.

An Upward Journey
All started out fine, and I was living my goal. The ground was so large; even the small child was significant to me. My creator was just selling me to a little boy. The boy smiled so big when he saw me. His eyes glowed as he held me in his hand. Then, the little boy was distracted by an animal in the park. His hand had released me without warning. My mind fluttered as I started to rise. The little boy did not even notice that I was missing. No one really noticed at all as I was going further away. All I wanted to do was to give happiness and be carried around as an adventure. All was a unique way from my original dream.

Vocal and My Future
2024 will be a new year, and I want to get my dreams started. I have been writing for over a year and getting my work out there. It was a journey from when I began. I started with more stories and a few poems here and there. It was growing in many new genres and attempts to bring more depth to my writing. I have made multiple top stories and will continue to try to make more. It is also nice to build a community of writers, good and bad. Somebody stole one of my stories, and management kicked the person off the platform. The community is excellent, and now the world is much more extensive for me. The future can be more prosperous, but Vocal is only the beginning.

Crow's Cock
1872 A man was looking over the ledge. The canyon was vast, and the plan was set. All the sun was abroad, the desolate land. His site was placed in the distance. Footsteps were heard as the man reacted. His face was furious at the sight of the others. They both stared at each other as the tension grew. The first man started to grab his gun. He was one of the quickest in town, and hardly anyone could beat him. One of the others held theirs and was surprisingly the faster. The man fell back as his blood oozed out of his body. His limb body started to fade. The one told the other, "We need to move his body before it is discovered." They placed in the cave, then barred the door. They rode off in the desert as if nothing ever happened.
