Bird on Canvas
The Floating Feather 1680 Melchior d’Hondecoeter Dutch animalier artist Melchior d’Hondecoeter painted this artwork in 1680 and it is considered to be in the same style as the painting Concert of Birds by Snyder. This artwork features a wide variety of waterfowl and other bird species associated with living in or near watery marshes and wetlands. Originally this painting was exhibited as A Pelican and Other Birds Near a Pool since the main figure of the artwork is a large white pelican.

Wildlife of California The US state of California is nicknamed the Golden State. It shares a land border with Oregon to the north, Nevada, and Arizona to the east, and Mexico to the south. The western coast of the entire state is bordered by the Pacific Ocean. The California Central Valley lies in the center of the state. There are several mountain ranges among them the Sierra Nevada, the Klamath Mountains, the Coast Ranges, and the Transverse Ranges. California includes both the highest point, Mount Whitney, and the lowest point, Death Valley, in the entire continental US.

Grand Rapids on the Grand River
The Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park offers displays indoors and outdoors. The gardens showcase flowers and tranquil green spaces. The outdoor sculptures are surrounded by trees and waterways and there are winding paths to walk.

Bologna the Historic Capital
Visitors find that Bologna is the historic capital of the Emilia-Romagna region, in northern Italy. It has many medieval and Renaissance structures and a pair of medieval towers one of them the leaning Asinelli Tower can be climbed for fantastic views of the city.

He was never one of the most popular ones you always read about but he had a fantastic voice and he sang the most wonderful country-style love songs. He came into this world in 1923 as Ottis Dewey Whitman, Jr. in Tampa, Florida but professionally became known as Slim Whitman.

Ghosts in Nebraska
The Temple Building is at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. It is located on the East Campus. The University of Nebraska was founded in 1869 stretching 4 city blocks. By 1905 it was becoming immense. The beautiful Franco-Italian style Temple Building was constructed in 1906 as a student activity center and home to the University Theater. The entrance is framed by 4 Italian marble pillars strategically placed across the front of the building. Inside is the campus radio station and KUON-TV, all the drama and theater classes, some administrative offices, and UNL’s two main theaters, Howell and Studio.

Dublin by the River Liffey
Dublin the capital of the Republic of Ireland is located on the east coast in the province of Leinster. Trinity College is located right in the heart of the city. It is the oldest university in Ireland founded in 1952 by Queen Elizabeth I. The beautiful campus has cobbled squares, gardens, and parks. The college is known around the world for its collection of great treasures on permanent display like the 9th-century illuminated manuscript The Book of Kells, the Books of Durrow and Armagh, and an ancient Irish harp.

Ann Arbor Along the Huron River
Michigan is located in the Great Lakes and Midwestern regions. Michigan is the largest state by total area located east of the Mississippi River. It is the only state to consist of two peninsulas. The Lower Peninsula and the Upper Peninsula. The peninsulas are separated one from the other by the Straits of Mackinac, a five-mile channel joining Lake Huron to Lake Michigan. The Mackinac Bridge connects the peninsulas. The state has the longest freshwater coastline being bounded by four of the five Great Lakes and Lake Saint Clair.
