Wicked Woods
In a land of giants stood a small, quiet, tree. The tree was a whispering pine. He was called a whispering pine because though the winds howled through the giants, when it hit this small tree, it was quieted to a whisper. The giants were so amazed by this that each time the winds grew they would take turns standing near the small tree to try to hear what the wind was telling it.

The Barn
When children are looking for something to do on the farm, they head out to the barn. Barns are a great adventure for every child. Inside the barn you can find cows, horses, sheep, pigs and a whole lot of creepy crawlers. Some barns have lofts where hay and straw are stored. The most fun thing to do in the hay loft is to play hide and seek. The bales were never stacked real tight so there were many holes to crawl into and hide. We had a loft we played in and one time when I was running from one side over to base, I forgot about the drop hole. The drop hole is where you drop the bales down a hole about five feet by five feet into the stall with the animals. I got to the edge of the hole before I saw it and fell right into it.

The Dream
A few days later, Tori decided to see if she could remember what tunnels she followed and where the crack was that she saw in the wall from her dream. She was packing everything she could carry when her mother walked in. “Where are you going?” she asked. Tori sat with her mother and told her about her dream. Her mother told her she did not think it was a good idea to be going trapesing around the tunnels herself. Tori said she does it all the time and said she would be fine. Her mother reluctantly let her go but told her to be back before lights out.

The Dream
This morning started like all the others. Tori got up and began to dream of the world she heard stories of growing up. The stories her mother would tell her each day she placed a heart shaped locket around her neck. The locket had an inscription of numbers around the inside edge. Tori's mother would never tell her what they meant. As time passed, Tori would go walking through the tunnels where they have lived for so many years. She explored miles of tunnels that seemed to go nowhere.
