I don't hide in the closet any more
Today, I received a message from a Facebook friend that questioned the gay pride flag on my profile picture. The remarks he made were very derogatory and damning. He explained he didn't support gay rights. He said to fuck my rights, an exact quote. I usually don't respond to these types of messages but he had me so wired that I felt like I needed to do something. So here is my response to his remarks.

Not so friendly of a welcome
In September 1980, I was in Munich, Germany for Octoberfest. My friends and I were having a few beers to wind down from field training exercises. We had been on maneuvers for ninety days and were glad to be back to the civilian world. We were given five days off to enjoy Octoberfest. My friends and I we decided to go to Munich for a little rest and relaxation. We had been there a day or two and we found a place to enjoy some food and a beer. After being there for about forty-five minutes, we decided to go elsewhere. Fifteen minutes after we left, the area where we had been sitting was attacked by a terrorist. We were the most sought after individuals by Polizei, because they thought somehow we were involved. When we were found we were questioned and an hour later we were released to our first sergeant. Our first sergeant took us back to our hotel and told us to check in with him and the commanding officer when we returned.

Being Homeless
What is it like to be without? What is it like to have to worry about a place to lay your head? Try it when you are on probation with a seven pm curfew and five to seven inches of snow falling. What are you to do? I over drafted my bank account and and checked into a hotel. This is the fourth time I have done this to keep from being homeless. What are you supposed to do?

Featuring Dylan Zangwill
Dylan Zangwill is fourteen from a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pa. He is ultra talented and I believe Freddie Mercury is staring down from heaven with a huge smile on his face. As evidenced by the smile on Dylan's face he was pleased with his audition performance. Dylan's performance also earned him a standing ovation from the crowd and three of the judges. Simon didn't stand, instead he did smile from his seat.

When you realize it's over
For twenty years, I waited for the day I could say "Thank God and Greyhound you're gone." No my marriage wasn't as bad as it could have been. It wasn't as good as it could have been either. The first indication that there would be problems was the age difference. My wife was older than I was by twelve years. She also had a child from her first marriage which complicated things a little.

Competition was stiff on AGT
https://youtu.be/jfOchBlb4sY The battle of the fourteen year old's at America's Got Talent. Who are you pulling for? Benicio? Dylan?. They both have one thing in common, they are extremely gorgeous, in my opinion. I love Dylan's hair and I love Benicio's skin tone. But they are both very talented musically. I hate when this happens. I hate when two incredibly cute boys are competing against one another.

Former foster care kid
Barry Farmer didn't have the easiest childhood, but it was an experience that made him who he is today – a dad to three boys. When Farmer was just a toddler, he and his three sisters went into "kinship care," a form of foster care where relatives or friends take care of someone's children.

The Mental Health Stigma
As I sit in jail my anxiety and depression runs deep. My PTSD was triggered and brought on by writing my memoir. I don't trust law enforcement like I used too since my arrest. I used to think I could never get inflicted with a mental health issue. My mother suffers from bipolar disorder as does my son. But mental health issues do run in my family, my uncle was as strong as many men I knew, but after Vietnam he suffered with survivors guilt as well as PTSD.
