Frozen in time
The month of January can be many things to many people. To some it could mean downhill skiing, cross country skiing, ice fishing or even traveling by snow mobile. I have tried all except for the ice fishing and that was not exactly how I wanted to spend my only free afternoon off from work.

Storm of the Century
Life on a tiny island has its privileges and its shortcomings. Time seems to stand still when the weather is calm and the skies are a crystal blue with tiny, puffy white clouds scattered throughout. Days like that are special and ones not to be taken for granted.

Summers Beauty
I am an avid gardener and my favorite time of the year aside from the beautiful spring flowers, birds chirping, trees blooming and bushes spreading would have to be the summer. I adore waking up early in the morning while the dew is still fresh on the grass and no one else is active in my community as it is only 6am. I am still pretty tired, but after the coffee is brewed and I enjoy my first few sips, I am ready to go exploring the great world of gardening.

Dangerous Waters
It was the dawn of a new day and I was gathering my things together as I was officially on vacation. I have been working for the past 3 years non-stop and my goal was to leave everything behind and head to a bed and breakfast room I rented for the week. It was a 8 hour drive, but I was game. I really needed to recharge my batteries and looked forward to a new adventure.

Package with a purpose
I had been cleaning out my drawers for days it seemed and I was finding so many things that I thought I had lost forever. Like the tickets from show I saw with my best friend over 20 years ago, somehow got separated from my scrapbook inadvertently and a few cases of old glasses I didn't need or could wear anymore.

The barn and the storm
On a very cold and very dreary night in a obscure part of town, lived an old battered barn that had seen better days. There was very little sunlight and the nights seemed to last forever. There was a quiet, yet mysterious aura about the place. It seemed to have a presence that could not be explained.

Writers Block
Things never seemed to come as easily as they used to. I have put putting off writing that so called novel for years and years, but felt the pressure that this needed to be done as my life was going by so fast and I felt that I never really accomplished what I set out to do.

Hospital Stay
Just over the last war on earth which happened on May 24, 2028, there was so much chaos around and civility was not present. The war started simply by an explosion from the heavens and for all the scientists know could have been from an unknown planet we have not yet discovered and lasted for 7 days.
