The magic of Eragon
When I was 12, I went to the library and scrounged up this book called Eragon. There was a dragon on the cover and, since I loved dragons (and still do), It seemed intriguing to me. When I started it, it wasn’t very enticing. So, being the quitter I once was, I gave up on it.

What’s going on?
A cold shiver ran up my spine as flooding thoughts raced through my mind. My life would change forever that day; I wasn't sure how, but everything moving forward would never be the same. I was a 6th grader, just minding my own business in pre-algebra class when I heard the call. “Mrs. Gorly, can you please have Jessica come to the front office?” “Jessica Graham?” she replied. “No, Phoenix,” they clarified, “Jessica Phoenix.”

A Critique of The Avengers
Marvel’s Avengers movies are absolutely stunning! While some scenes have predictable outcomes, the rest are unbelievably thrilling. The way they create the characters and their powers is fascinating; it captivates me the way they defeat evil and save the innocent.
