New Year-Old Me
Well, I have survived another year of the Apocolypse and am keeping things as normal as possible-ish. However, keeping traditions alive is essential in these trying times, and one of the most infamous ones known to the western world is New Year resolutions.

I Have Covid: Day One
Well, it has finally got me. I thought I had lasted longer than my luck should have held out. But in all honestly, I hardly ever left the house until recently unless absolutely necessary. Then tonight, when I went to pick my husband up from the train station, I began to feel rotten. Sore, achy bones and muscles. Shivers and inability to get warm; Not to mention the dry, achy eyes and lips. I came home and told hubby I would lay down that it had been a long day.

It's Never Too Late To Go Back To School
There is one simple truth when it comes to education and learning; you are never too old. We learn from the moment we are born until the moment we die. So, if anyone tries to imply that you are too old to go back to school, they are wrong.

Trick or Treating on a Sunday?
It's Halloween today and a wet and windy one at that here in England. However, it's been an odd one. After last year, when we had to forgo the decorations, treats and going door to door, it seems that the world has reset with a different set of rules. Why I Sent My Husband and Son to a Football Game After My Mama's Funeral
My mama's funeral was traumatic in more ways than is typical. First, I had a breakdown before the service. Unfortunately, I'm one of those people who shove everything down deep and ignore it until it explodes. So, while I was able to help with all the preparations, go to the funeral home, pay bills etc., the actual moments before the funeral was too much. I ended up hyperventilating on one of the hottest days in August I can remember and collapsed outside the church.

It's Not a Real Job
Traditionally, women did not work outside the home. Wives took care of the children and home. The men would go out to their offices or manual labour and slave away at their 40 hour weeks. Well, that's how suburbian life is portrayed in the movies. The reality of it all is drastically different. There are no 'normal' these days. People work from home, abroad, or where ever they can pick up a job. I'm working right now, writing this article. The point is, there is no right or wrong in how we do our jobs.

Why You Can Never Go Home
It was November of 1999 when I left home. I was twenty-two and ready to begin my adventure. My family was split in the way they felt. It was in the early days of the internet, and I had met my now husband online in a chat room called Hyperchat UK.

I Died Today
I first heard that poem when I was fifteen years old. I sat in drivers ed, watching a video of car crashes as the poem was read in the background. Our instructors showed that clip to every student on the first day of drivers education in the hope of saving a single life.
