Now or Never
Dear diary, I will try t o keep this brief, yet there's so much that has happened. The trees are withered, they skies are grey and there isn't any sign of human life. What was a comfortable evening on the couch turned into a complete nightmare. I remember I had just hang up with my mother. She was so elated that her garden was sprouting. She couldn't slow down quick enough to allow me time to process everything she was saying. Something about she can't wait to clear land and grow more vegetables.

Feeling Froggy? Then don't jump!
I awoke one morning with what seemed to be every muscle in my upper body aching. The events from the previous day seemed to have left me sore and slowly moving to position myself on the edge of my bed. I had worked a full shift at my job which involved heavy lifting. I came home that evening and quickly changed into athletic wear to get a quick workout in. What happened after that workout is what I assume to be me falling asleep and awaking at a little after 7 AM. That was ok, I just knew that today was going to be the day I got my perfect shot.

Fresh start, clean slate
With patience and time the reality that exist in our minds can be manifested into something so pure, so beautiful that it feels as though it's just a dream. There have been many instances where I try to mentally land on my feet after daydreaming about my future and the fresh start each new opportunity presents. I currently find myself beat down, worn out and soulfully EXHAUSTED. I've had three deaths in the family, two of which occurred in January alone. Throw in a multitude of other issues and stresses and I'm just about ready to scrape up enough money to take a flight to some uncharted island in the deep Pacific to have a moment of solitude to contemplate my next move.

I'm Ridin' Solo
What makes the perfect trip? Is it the food? The culture? Is it the welcoming smiles that greet you after a long ride or flight that whisper to your soul, that tell you it was all worth it? Immersing yourself in the local culture? Some may even say the sights that glaze across their eyeballs as they marvel at the landscapes, architecture and overall beauty of the location. Me? Well, it's quite simple. The thought of experiencing AT LEAST one major trip alone.

Behind the Beat
There are very few songs that truly stand the test of time. Songs that not only move you but seem to gravitate towards you then pull you in unexpectedly, almost like a musical riptide. You see, Kanye Wests' "Stronger" was so much more to me than just some single off a rapper's album. It was my pounding of the chest moment. It was my warrior call.
