Bio
So, to put it simply (and slightly cheesily) I'm fascinated with life. And, well, writing about films, TV shows, video games, music, travelling, philosophy and Formula 1 among other is a fun way to explore it.

Why The Infamous 'Best Picture Fail' Was Actually A Great Moment For The Oscars
Safe to say that the most talked about Oscars 2017 moment — falsely announcing the winner of the year's biggest film award, and then having that mistakenly proclaimed winner find out about it mid-victory speech — will not go down as the proudest moment in the history of the Academy Awards. Rather obviously, it caused a major heartbreak for one group of people (the amazing cast and crew of La La Land) and partially spoiled a special moment for other (the equally amazing cast and crew of Moonlight).

It's Time To D-D-D Duel: 3 Factors That Made 'Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters' So Endearing
As a fan of Yu-Gi-Oh, I'm the first one to admit that, at first glance, the long-lasting appeal of the show might be hard to understand. I mean, here we have a kids anime that ran in the early 2000s, largely with a purpose to sell a trading card game. Yet, after all these years, it's getting a feature-length film (with the brilliant original cast returning). Furthermore, it's the source material for the highly popular Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Abridged Series — a brilliant and clever parody/homage, which often seems to be as beloved by the fans as the actual show itself.

The Story Must Walk On: 3 Crucial Challenges In Making a Great Sequel
A good story deserves to be continued. Or perhaps it deserves to be left alone. Whatever one's opinion on the matter, it's safe to say that in nowadays film industry, it will most likely be continued in form of a sequel. And, well, it's not such a bad thing, since we have gotten many worthy continuations of some beloved stories thanks to it. However, needless to say that it has also delivered a fair share of misguided attempts to cash in on a known property, highlighting just how full of perils a quest to make a worthy sequel can be.

Exploring The Video Game Movie Curse With 'Assassin's Creed'
In retrospect, one should have seen it coming. I mean, Assassin's Creed was a video game movie after all, and therefore, destined to fail (as it did not quite get the best response from critics, fans of the franchise or at the box office). Yet, with all the potential it boasted — from its talented cast and crew, to the rich source material of this truly awesome game franchise — many were genuinely hoping that this one was finally going to lift the curse of sub-par video game movies and offer something memorable.

A New Trope: These 3 Film Genres Would Thrive In The Star Wars Universe
The circle is now complete. When Star Wars began with A New Hope, it was a case of creating this fascinating universe to tell a timeless tale in a new and exciting fashion. Now, with RogueOne: A Star Wars Story, this ever-expanding universe has become the main source of inspiration for telling great stories. And that, in turn, puts into perspective just how huge and layered the galaxy far, far away has become.

Lights, Camera, Action: 6 Ways To Pull Off A Slick Action Thriller
"Human beings must have action; and they will make it if they cannot find it."— Albert Einstein In a sense, a great action film works on the same grounds as an awesome dance act — it aims to satisfy this craving for the perfectly paced and fluent movement, which is present in all of us. Also, it's probably the safest way to do so.

'The Dark Knight' And 'Black Sails' — A Fascinating Combo For Exploring The Human Nature
Are we only as good as the world allows us to be? That question has refused to leave my head while following the stories of all the irresistibly varied and conflicted characters in Black Sails — a gritty depiction of the Golden Age of Piracy and a sort of prequel story to the classic Treasure Island book.

Why Is the 'Star Wars' Prequel Trilogy Becoming More Appreciated?
When Disney bought Lucasfilm and announced their ambitious plans, it looked like an end of the line for the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Honestly, I really thought that they would have been forgotten and pushed into the outer rim of galaxy by all of the new and, hopefully, brilliant content, that we were about to get. Fast forward to 2016 and, as was predicted, we have indeed gotten a lot of amazing new Star Wars content.

When It Comes to Superhero Ensemble Villains, Are the DCEU and MCU Playing It Too Safe?
When I think of ensemble superhero epics like The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Suicide Squad, there are more than enough reasons to smile. For example? All the iconic lead characters portrayed by brilliant actors and actresses who share a great chemistry. Also, how can one forget the epic action scenes that offer plenty of eye candy? But I seem to be forgetting something — the villains. Probably for a good reason, too. In none of the aforementioned films are the baddies particularly memorable.
