Why meddle with something already heralded as extraordinary? Yet, when Taylor Deupree presented him with the bold proposition of crafting an acoustic rendition of his groundbreaking 2002 album, "Stil.," Branciforte's curiosity was piqued. "Stil." epitomized the zenith of the glitch movement, birthed from the epoch when personal computers metamorphosed into sanctuaries of sonic experimentation. Deupree's methodology was anything but conventional—he wove electronic samples slightly out of sync, permitting minuscule digital aberrations to dance in and out of temporal harmony, akin to a Steve Reich opus on a microscopic scale. The resultant sound was undeniably warm and emotive, yet seemingly unattainable by mortal hands.

Pankhurst is a name well known to the history of women’s suffrage. Who hasn't heard the name Emmaline Pankhurst, founder of the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU), an all-women organisation campaigning for the right to vote? The group that helped to achieve the right to vote for women in Great Britain and Ireland in 1918. Some know of her daughter Christabel, both being honoured by the Pankhurst memorial in Victoria Palace Gardens, London, right next to the UK Parliament buildings. Sylvia Pankhurst is notably not included in the monument. Why? Because she split with the WSPU to campaign against Britain's entry into First World War.

Florida Gov. DeSantis Vetoes All Public Arts Grants.
Gov. Ron DeSantis said he vetoed the entire $32 million in cultural and museum grants and related funding for hundreds of organizations in Florida, because a fraction of the dollars went to "Fringe" festivals... offbeat shows which can include adult-content and drag performers... which draws thousands to Florida each year saying that he didn’t want state funds supporting sexual-themed festivals.
