English Essay - Technology
Teenagers, adults and even children today, living in the 21st century enjoy a variety of privileges that allows us to develop, progress and even gain skills and knowledge more efficiently and easily than the earlier eras ever could. Technology dominates today and it is our main source of information, especially the students in which live in this century where they enjoy the power of being able to google anything, anywhere and at any time. However, books, notebooks, newspapers or even good old-fashioned handwritten letters are still very significant as they give information while also allowing you to enter a personal word with no distractions.

No Wi-Fi?!
In a world where everyone faces the ground, I took a chance and looked up and saw this very ironic sign. I snickered to myself and stole a picture, clearly not receiving the intended message of limiting cell-phone distraction. And yet again disregarding the message by posting this using the LTE network that every place has even if they don't have Wi-Fi; including Fred's Mexican Cantina on Main St. I consider myself a pretty self aware gal and I don't know if by saying that I completely discredit myself or how all of that shit works but I think that I have a pretty good grasp on reality and interpersonal connection as a young lady of many words.

Tor Isn't the Problem
Ever since its release, the Onion Router (Tor), a free-to-download web browsing software, has been under scrutiny by governments, activists, and people around the world. Tor browser was recently brought into the public eye due to the vile online controversies caused by a few Tor users. Thus, the media painted the software as being a terrifying and malicious gateway into a hidden part of the internet, where depraved hackers, criminals, and degenerates skulk about. Despite popular belief, Tor software is not inherently evil, as it provides and promotes basic human rights online - including freedom of speech, privacy, security, and anonymity.

How I Feel About Cell Phones
Cell phones have changed the world. At the tip of your finger is access to the world of knowledge. You can use it as a camera or GPS. It has many valuable features. However, the obsession with cell phones is harmful, like any addiction. There are children who completely freak out if you take their cell phone away. There are young adults who get completely lost without their cell phone. This is not how it should be.

Most Evil Movie Computers
...If they haven't already! After all, everyone is just in a simulation, right? We may not think of an intangible technological object, like the computer system, as something capable of preforming immoral activities, but I'd beg to differ. While computers may have literally advanced our species into the next realm of scientific possibilities, we still continue this yearning for major breakthroughs in engineering supercomputers and quantum computer technology, and it remains to be seen whether the impact of artificial intelligence within machines would operate effectively, if anything even morally. As usual, Hollywood has depicted a pretty bad track record of fictionalized advanced mechanics. According to them, the best ways to mitigate computer risks and infections is to create even more than you already had to start with.

How the Internet Destroyed Everything
Not too long ago, an idea was developed that would allow endless streams of information to be shared nearly instantaneously. Snail mail would give way to email. Loaning out music tapes and CDs would give way to music file sharing, etc. This idea was called the Worldwide Web and it would effectively link everyone on Earth. The idea made the world a much smaller place, because now a person could find themselves speaking to others in foreign countries and even making friends with their favorite celebrities.

Coolest Superhero Gadgets Used in Movies
We've seen some truly memorable superheroes over the past few years, what with the Dark Knight series, which started with Batman Begins, the X-Men series, and who could forget the now astoundingly huge Marvel Cinematic Universe, boasting such heroes as Iron Man, Captain America, and now even Doctor Strange. Taking the Bait
I was standing in the checkout line at the grocery store recently. As I was avoiding eye contact with the other people in line, I started check out the magazine covers. Did you know that tabloids still exist? National Enquirer, The Daily Star, Weekly World News; all of these are still printed publications. If you haven’t read any of these rags, you might accidentally think that some of it is true. It’s like old time-y click bait.
