How I Made Zoom a Source of Income

At the beginning of this year, almost the zoom wouldn't have more space in the market because of so many news channels talking about him and the court above him, all because he had a security mistake. It's like we say around: you can be good with everyone, but the day you make the first mistake, all the good that was done, will be thrown away.

Finally, right at the end of the year, Apple announced that Zoom came out as the best application of the year 2020. I agree for several reasons and one of them I will start talking now.

Unlike the others, 2020 was not so bad for me. I have achieved more in a turbulent year than in a year without turbulence. I have a very positive balance for this year.

But after all, how did I make Zoom a source of income?

For investors and business people, diversifying the investment portfolio or the economy is the biggest strategy to make sure that the investor or entrepreneur doesn't have difficulties to leverage his business. And that's exactly what I did.

For the last two years, I've been looking for the best ways to make money using only my skills. And this year of 2020 was practically the year that everything started to come to life like never before. It seems that the pandemic brought a clearing in my mind. It was then that I decided to create online courses based on live classes, being the zoom application in my classroom.

I created an innovative course model for my new way of undertaking. Instead of staying days recording classes and then editing them, and then making them available on the platform, promoting the course and later selling it. I decided to be in direct connection with the students. I teach live classes, they learn and take the time to ask questions. After the classes, we interact in the WhatsApp group taking doubts, giving suggestions, writing down news, and growing together.

At the moment I am giving training about investments in the stock market and cryptocurrencies, a course about mastering Google Adsense in 4 steps, and everything related to consulting without a specific branch.

Is it an innovative idea to use zoom as a source of income?

Yes. It's a very innovative idea for me and I recommend it to anyone who wants to take courses on what they have mastered and have always wanted to go deeper. It's much more useful than staying three months preparing video lessons, without wanting to discard the video lessons, because my Medium course is 100% composed of video lessons. But during that time, using zoom as my learning platform and performance through my skills, I found it more useful for those who want to earn a living faster and get more involved with the students.

How do I start using Zoom as a source of income?

It's very simple to start using zoom as a platform to sell courses. You will only need a few basic steps detailed below.

1 - You need to have a Media channel on platforms such as Youtube, Google Ads, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Twitch, Medium, Linkedin, TikTok among other social media spread on the Web.

With your Social Media, in case you are not a little known in your region and you don't have a very involving organic audience like me. You will need to create an ad account in any of your Social Media, where you can spend only $6 to $18. You will promote the training that you are intending to teach, and everyone who is reached in your ad, will look for a way to contact you and want to know how the training will be, where the training will be, and how they can join the training.

How will they adhere to the training?

This is where the second basic step comes to start using the zoom as a source of income.

2 - You will create a capture page using any platform that has this option, I recommend Convertkit because it is well optimized to create several capture pages for each class you will open in your course. To set up the Convertkit page it's very simple, they have video tutorials teaching how to create your first form, how to make your first email transmission, and much more. You can also search for videos on Youtube showing how to optimize your Convertkit page.

Convertkit has a very simple drag and drops buttons. You can see one of my pages here, only it's in English, my native language.

After you create the page, you'll promote this link embedded in your ad so they can sign up through this form of capture. This way you will have control of how many students will be part of the course. Remember that the announcement you make must contain all the details about the course and the price for them to be prepared.

After everyone signs up, you can send a welcome e-mail to everyone and start explaining how the classes will be, what they need to do to start participating. You will put the payment limit and after everyone pays, they can start classes. Everything that you would show in several video lessons, you will make everyone see it live and removing doubts for each difficulty.

But doesn't that hurt the students in case they want to review the classes?

No. The zoom has the option to record all the lessons, and you can save them all, and if any student wants the lessons, you simply make them available to him. Rarely any student requests a lesson, at least not with me, but I have all the lessons recorded. And besides, the classes that would be maybe a module, you give in only one class, that is one of the great advantages.

The zoom is not only an application for business meetings, we can do a lot of amazing things and even truncate our job. We just need to be creative and think about how we will implement our innovations.
