To my friend, soulmate and prince Chandler

Dear Matthew Perry,

Life is a whirlwind of highs and lows, of tracing the memories that our existence forged in. It is a ride that plonks us into the most undesirable and unlikely of events that make us into who we are today. To be or not to be the ones we are, we are always left with the question of how happy we are with what we have and what we can be at the blink of the midnight when we lie drawing unfiltered conversations with our thoughts. Those are the nuances that belie our true selves, telling us about our honest and deepest desires, our most darkest and hostile parts. As we grow up, all we want is peace, a set of people whom we can call our own and a life filled with passion and hard work. Life is merrier when you have people who make you laugh and who stand by you by even seeing the worst in you.

I was 16 when I first stumbled across the worldwide acclaimed Sitcom Friends. I wanted to see the beauty that so poetically quoted about the series myself. And oh my, my younger self fell in love with the beautiful ensemble and witty dialogues of the show. The mirth, the joy and the bond that the cast shared instilled a sense of comfort and familiarity in my heart. And seeing you Matty as Chandler, was one of the most authentic and unfiltered characters I have ever seen. Chandler who never received the affection of his mother and father, gave Monica the love that any girl would dream.

When you as Chandler sat heartbroken on being cheated by your girlfriend Kathy and being left by Janice, my heart broke in the precipice of the beauty of how flawlessly you played your part. But it left a trace of sanguine hope of you finding true love, and then when you least expect it, love knocks at your door. Monica is my soul character and seeing you and her fall in love with each other gave not just us but every young heart a hope of finding true love like Monica and Chandler did.

The darkness that surrounds the thunder

Kindness in its bounds knows no ends,

To draw in its entirety, to be the light even when its neck bends.

Lapsing in its mirth, it gallops in serenity as it with love overflows,

But the pain behind its smile is the tale no one knows.

The love that is not just coffee in bed and beautiful instaworhty selfies, but that is accepting each other's flaws, and working to be the best versions of each other by hand side to side and working to be the best versions of each other by hand side to side. Mondler- the couple that showed loving every broken piece of each other and healing it with the magic of togetherness.

To Matthew Perry,

Thank you for giving us Chandler- who was a wonderful friend, an awesome partner and an amazing father. The gift of your talent nurtured the beauty of Friends which gave us irreplaceable memories and an eternity of laughter,

Matthew Perry thank you for being you and in a world full of Richards that mellow in the tune of shallow and unfulfilled promises, you gave us a Chandler, that became the beacon of a lifetime of togetherness and a soulmate that lasts for eternity in our hearts.

You will be missed,

Best

A sincere fan,

Hri
