Lisa, Mother of Four Puppies Need Your Help

Four street puppies are facing ticks and mites attack

By Ainy AbrahamPublished about a month ago 2 min read

Lisa is a stray mother who is rearing four puppies. She lives in my neighborhood so I consider her my neighbor. She lives across the road.

We shifted in this area and noticed many dogs living on street happily as shop owners and people have been feeding them. They were not anybody's pet but still, the road was their territory and they were always found on the same streets and grounds. Lisa is one of them and is a good, loving, and caring mother.

Around two months back I came to know about her puppies when one morning I noticed the crying of some puppies. My daughters were getting ready for school and I was on my porch to have some fresh air. Listening to those sounds I went out to see the situation. As I opened my gate, Lisa came running towards me across the road as she wanted to tell me something. I followed her and then realized the delicacy of the situation. Her puppies had somehow fallen in a water channel around 8 feet deep. Water was not much so they could not drown and It was the point of satisfaction. But I still needed someone to rescue them.

It was early in the morning and there was not much traffic. My area has some under-construction houses, workers from a nearby house came out to help me, and one of them managed to climb down and rescue two puppies. Lisa was happy and so we were.

I came home with a contentment that I helped a mother. Hardly 10 minutes had passed when we heard the crying of some puppy again I thought that now puppies are with their mother and it's a usual sound. I was in my bedroom and trying to sleep as I was in the habit of sleeping for an hour after sending kids to school. I ignored the sound and slept for around 40 minutes. When I woke up my son told me that he along with one of our neighbors, who is around 80, rescued one more puppy from the same channel. I said, " Oh, She has three puppies". I was happy with this act of my son.

The story had not ended yet as we started hearing the crying of another puppy from down the channel and Lisa was there to see around who could help her this time. The fourth puppy was also rescued and the family started living happily. I felt a strong bond with them so I decided to give them food right before their door so puppies' stay safe.

Now puppies are around 3 months old, they welcome me with great warmth whenever I go outside. I have been managing their food on my own but lately, I observed that ticks and mites have attacked them. Infestation is getting worse and worse. On consulting the doctor I came to know that treatment is beyond my budget.

I am requesting all of you to help me in securing their health. They are lovely and cute. They need good health.

Please help these innocents to live a happy life.

Drop by drop we can create a river so do not think how small you can contribute. It would be a great initiation for a dog family.
