I’m Danielle, and I’m writing this from my small room the night before my birthday… At this point, I’ve done about a dozen drafts, and it all seems to come out a bit weird, so screw it, I’m going to just do this stream-of-consciousness- style. Also, hi!

Over the two years my life has gone from bad to worse:

  • Got divorced
  • Had to move back in with my mom
  • Lost my job
  • Painful breakup
  • Ran out of money

And for a good while, I didn’t know what to do. Everything seemed pointless. I felt like I was in some giant hole that I couldn’t get out of.

But this week I remembered something my ex told me earlier this year: “give it two years”. He always believed in me and told me if I just tried and held on, that in two years I wouldn’t feel this hopeless.

I’m not sure if he’s right or not, but I’d like to give it a try.

So for the next two years, I’ll be in the relentless pursuit of a better life. I have to give it my all. I need to see if a better, happier, life is on the other side of this dark period.

From Unemployment to Financial Stability

Right now I’m unemployed with basically no income and I’ll be honest, it feels a little bleak. Instead of focusing on the bad, I will be channeling my energy into building income streams for myself so I can replace my income.

I’ll be looking into finding another job, and exploring everything from freelancing to online business and writing about everything I learn.

My Mom

She’s one of the most important people in my life and is one of the reasons I want to pursue other streams of income. She’s always taken care of me, so now it’s time for me to start taking care of her, you know?

Why Write About Money Anyway?

I know the topic of making money might be a little played out, but I think it’s important.

Other people sharing their journey has always given me a little bit of hope. Things like income reports, case studies, etc., have shown me that it’s possible to reach big goals and create income for yourself and the people around you.

The Road Ahead

I’m excited to see where this two-year journey takes me. I know there’s going to be ups and downs but as long as I keep moving forward I know I’ll end up in the right place.

I’m going to make these next two years count.
