Number 10. Big Sur

Located between Karmel Highlands and Simeon, Big Sur is a large, rocky area on the California Coast. Although it has no official restrictions, it covers some 70 miles of the famous California Highway One. The area is a magnet for travelers who are fascinated by the redwood trees and beautiful beaches along the route. In addition to the beautiful driving area, the area also offers many hiking trails that make their way to the many state parks covered by Big Sur.
