Luxurious Beverly Hills

Beverly Hills is a city located in Los Angeles County in Southern California. It is a notable and historic suburb of Los Angeles just southwest of the Hollywood Hills. Its claim to fame is being home to the rich and famous celebrities of Hollywood.

See the Beverly Hills sign located in Beverly Gardens Park between North Canon Drive and North Beverly Drive. It is the most recognizable landmark in the city. Then take a stroll along the park's eleven-block pedestrian trail.

One block west of the sign is Endless V, 2012 by Jaume Plensa.

One of its most famous shopping streets is Rodeo Drive. Here you will find luxurious boutiques and popular stores with names like Dior, Gucci, and Tiffany & Co. among others.

Don't forget to stop by The Beverly Hills Hotel and Bungalows on Sunset Boulevard. This hotel is known for being associated with Hollywood film stars, rock stars, and celebrities.

Cruise along the popular Sunset Boulevard which stretches from the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades east to Figueroa Street in downtown Los Angeles. It is the major thoroughfare in the cities of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.

Stop at the Sprinkles ATM outside of the popular Sprinkles Bakery. The high-tech touchscreen machine takes your favorite cupcake and dispenses it to you in seconds.

Mulholland Drive is world famous for being the home to Hollywood celebrities. All the houses are hidden behind gates and towering trees. The road will take you from the Santa Monica mountains to the Hollywood Hills.

Greystone Mansion and Gardens is the home of billionaire Ned Dohne Jr. The house dates back to 1927. This is a 55-room mansion built in the English Tudor Revival style. There are lovely gardens with colorful flowerbeds, towering trees, and fountains. This is a popular filming location and has been the Chilton Academy in “Gilmore Girls” and in the film “The Bodyguard” Rachel's house.

The Frederick R. Weisman Foundation is dedicated to making the Frederick R. Weisman private collection of both modern and contemporary art available to the public. There are more than 400 artworks on display. Guided tours are available by appointment.

The Virginia Robinson Gardens are located in the heart of Beverly Hills. The Italian Renaissance Terrace Gardens offer fantastic views with mature trees, camellias, gardenias, and azaleas. The Rose Garden has heirloom roses and the Kitchen Garden has vegetables and herbs.

Will Rogers Memorial Park was constructed in 1912. Both local families and tourists enjoy this small park. You can walk along winding paths past a large pond with a fountain in the middle. The fountain is dedicated to Margaret J. Anderson, the first owner of the Beverly Hills Hotel. There are lawns, rose gardens, and palm and dragon trees.

Franklin Canyon Park is located between the San Fernando Valley and Beverly Hills. The park has acres of chaparral, grasslands, oak forests, lakes, and hiking trails.

The Sooky Goldman Nature Center has a duck pond and lake that are home to more than fifty species of birds both native and exotic. You can download a free bird-spotting booklet and do some bird-watching.

The Gottlieb Native Garden is one of the most acclaimed private gardens in California. This garden is on the private property of Susan and Dan Gottlieb. It can be viewed at select times throughout the year as part of special events. There are over 200 native plant species and more than 400 documented wildlife species. The garden has been designated as a National Wildlife Federation-certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat.

Take the Beverly Hills Trolley Tour where you can jump on and take a 40-minute tour through downtown Beverly Hills. The tour is fully narrated.

The Margaret Herrick Library has thousands of books, periodicals, photographs, scripts, and special collections dating from the early 1900s. The Graphic Arts collection has more than 42,000 items representing some of the earliest films ever made.

Take a tour of The Witch's House also called the Spadena House. The house looks like something out of a fairy tale. It was built in 1921 for a silent film movie studio, Willat Studios in Culver City. After the studio closed the house was relocated to Beverly Hills.
