You will go separate ways

"no peace and happiness"

Loneliness grows within your marriage.

Life has altered for the both of you.

You stare at each other's faces every day.

It's like awakening to the rage of a ravenous lion.

Hatred and sorrow, no peace and happiness.

Nonetheless, you both continue to act ecstatic in public.

Knowing the truth that it's over, rare facts of pretense

Living a lie for the sake of children and the commitments you made

Each of you has a secret lover, but you return to the same house.

Only marriage and the promise of remaining cool in public kept you together.

There will come a time when smiling and pretending may be too much to bear.

You will no longer care about the vows and the children you both share.

Running to the lawyers is what you'll both do.

A complete lawful divorce will run its course, and then you will go separate ways.

Your portrayal of a deteriorating relationship, held together by fragile pretenses, is both heartbreaking and powerful. The imagery of living a lie for the sake of commitments resonates profoundly, capturing the silent struggles that many face. Your words offer a stark, yet beautiful reflection on the complexities of love and the inevitable paths that sometimes lead us apart. Thank you for sharing such a compelling piece. Warm regards, Dr. Jay
