Dialogue Poetry Challenge

By Mama MagdalenePublished 5 days ago 1 min read
Conversations with my inner critic. (Image created by me in Photoshop).

You're only one drop in the sea. One star out in the sky.

"I hope the ocean welcomes me. Starlight that guides you nigh".

But life is just a tiny blip. A breath and then you die!

"Then what am I here living for, if I don't even try"?

They'll scoff and laugh and bury you. Who is gonna care?!

"The Winter seeds sprout with the Spring, but only if they dare".

And what if nothing comes of it?

"Sometimes life isn't fair".

The future isn't certain. Success isn't guaranteed.

"Creation is my purpose though, and for what I love, I'll bleed".

You'll end up alone and penniless!

"At least my soul's been freed".

You're clueless and oh so naive. What's the point, my dear?

"It will be enough to know, I didn't live in fear".

All you've got is nothing now, so full of your self-doubt...

What good could ever come from you?

"Just wait, and you'll find out!" <3
