Where Were We Willing?

Where wagers were warranted. Where wildflowers won.

where were we willing? where wagers

were warranted. where wildflowers won.

work was wasteful. women withered with

worry. we wandered. waxen. woven, we

wavered. whispers within weeds were

wrapped while water weakened wet with

wine. would we whimper? would we wash

warm welts, wounded words? we were

waking waifs. whitewashed windows where

wild-eyed worshippers welcomed wombs.

where whimsy welded worry, will, wailing

walnut winds. we were world-wrapped

warriors. where were we?

we were withdrawn.
