It lifts us up and brings us down,
It fills our hearts with endless joy,
And sometimes makes us feel destroyed.
Love is the fire that warms our soul,
The light that guides us to our goal,
It's the magic that makes us whole,
And gives us strength to reach our role.
Love is the melody that we sing,
The symphony that makes us swing,
It's the rhythm that makes our hearts ring,
And the harmony that makes us king.
Love is the ocean that we swim,
The current that takes us on a whim,
It's the breeze that makes our spirits dim,
And the sunshine that makes us grin.
Love is the gift that we receive,
The treasure that we must believe,
It's the bond that we must achieve,
And the legacy that we must leave.
So let us cherish love each day,
And let it guide us on our way,
For it's the love that makes us gay,
And the love that makes us stay.
