Me: I will never get it, you a republican. You are anti-government.

He: Yes, and not a Christian tea party and I believe in less government.

Me: And still you want this race about abortion

He: I have never approved of abortion.

~

Me: That sign may be going just a bit too far.

He: Baby killers! For me, that is what this is all about.

Me: "I wouldn't get an abortion, but I didn't need to as you got fixed," I shout!

He: Baby killers all of them, they are!

~

Me: Isn't getting fixed killing any babies we may have had?

He: Have you heard about how abortion works, tearing limbs

Me: Should it be up to the government or you? This is so sad!

He: Some things need to be decided by men. Give it to the Johns and Jims.

~

Me: Anti-government John you mean? Moving on! No more politics!

He: Okay with me, we will never agree!

Me: That's right. Can we plant this?

He: I'm too busy to help right now see.

~

Me: I have been waiting for weeks

He: It is the end of my show!

Me: We don't have enough soil, you know.

He: "It is enough," he squeaks.

~

Me: Hold this here, while I pour the dirt.

He: I don't want to, as it will get my shirt!

Me: This pot needs more dirt, I told you!

He: We have enough dirt, I told you, Boo!

~

Me: Okay, there is still some left.

He: Who knows best?

Me: You can be right now and then you pest!

He: Will you pick that up? Heft!

~

Me: Are you busy tomorrow?

He: Mowing. I want you to help.

Me: Help what? Mow?

He: It doesn't sound like it! Welp!

~

Me: The new Trump commercials are comical

He: We better stop as we will never agree

Me: Stupid is more like it. It's typical.

He: This is just the beginning you see.

~

Me: Okay, maybe

He: Love you, I do!

Me: Whose idea was it to have such a large yard? We shall see.

He: You, as you wouldn't want to be too close to the field, do you?

~

Me: I am looking forward to this weekend, see.

He: What are you doing again?

Me: Baby shower for Dee

He: Then the graduation.

~

Me: Goodnight

He: Sleep tight

Me: Love you brat

He: Sassafrat?

I used to be against abortion but not anymore for the past few years. Abortions should be allowed only for special circumstances, for example a rape victim, etc. Loved your poem!

This is quite the poem discussion of current events in some way.

  • Well done. I love it dearly. Because it is true.

Too funny. I’m glad it’s not me having these conversations.

  • Interesting writing. I must be honest I completely disagree with everything your husband had to say on politics. First of all, saying that he is for small government and yet being pro trump doesn't make sense. Trump wants to rule our lives with religion. A religion that he doesn't even believe in or follow. That is why the small-government libertarians booed him off the stage a few weeks ago. Trump is not about small government. Also, abortion should not be decided by the government. It should be something that is personal between the woman and her husband if there is a husband in the picture and her doctor. The government should completely stay out of abortion it should not be illegal but also government should not fund abortions. Maybe if an abortion is a case of life or death, funding should be available for something like that. Democrats are not baby killers, that is such an old worn-out statement and it has no traction anymore in today's society. I believe that abortion is not the answer for an unwanted pregnancy, because you were out one night playing around, but at the same point that is not my decision to make. Many abortions happen before the growth of any limbs so in the majority of cases there are not limbs being torn apart. It helps to be educated in these situations. To say that limbs are being torn apart is not being honest. Not last and how are US Constitution it does clearly state that our lawmakers are not to make laws based on their religious beliefs. Also in the US Constitution it states that we shall not establish any one religion as an official religion of the United states. Because the US Constitution guarantees us freedom of religion.

So true. My brother and sister are complete opposites to me in political views, but we still love each other. We do argue about it at times, but it's pretty pointless.
