We Wandered til the World Was Gone

Verse I:

We met on Sunshine Blvd, racing through the streets

We blew past all the red lights, 'til everyone faded.

We were everything, and we were nothing at all.

As we waltzed through the empty streets of downtown.

Pre/Chorus:

You said this would be forever, but forever is a lie.

I dance "forever" with a ghost I thought I knew

Chorus:

We loved with a passion,

But now that love has turned to dust.

We were just two people who wandered the downtown

Expecting a Garden to Waltz through and so much more.

We wandered the empty streets devoid of life (Wanderlust),

Our feet lifted off the ground in an embrace (Wanderlust)

Verse 2:

I wish we could go back to what was before

We were so happy, nothing was broken at all.

Spending hours under the starlight talking about our future.

But as I lay asleep, you stayed awake

As your eyes wandered beyond the stars, mesmerized,

You saw what couldn't be yours, and we both Fell

Bridge:

The stars were like Petals under our feet,

As they witnessed the love that burned brighter than them.

We were in over our heads, but nothing else mattered.

It's funny how easily Love can rip you to pieces.

Outro:

Once we loved, there was no turning back.

Torn between what once was before, and what is now

Sunset Blvd will forever be known for our love's demise.
