Waking up to find you.

With that playful smile

Peaking out like an otter

Through a sea of blankets and pillows.

For a moment I float there,

Feeling weightless, dreamy downstream.

Our legs entangled like the roots of old oaks,

Settled in comfort and warmth.

Here is a world where we sit,

In a nest with high branches,

Outside of space and time.

The veil will encapsulate this world.

When I close my eyes one more time.

Falling asleep, I stay with you.
